Not really, if you have any questions just ask. Gameplay wise the second is better, and the story is good but still not better than the first IMO, but that's the problem with a sequel to an open ended game. *shrugs* Overall the game is worth playing through several times to see everything Enjoy

BigSexy.. Funny you posted this.. I am about 10 mins away from beating the game, but had to go back to work. I can't put this game down, one of the few games I would say I am actually addicted to.

BTW, save your money. This is what I consulted when stuck:
http://www.gamespot.com/features/6115513/index.html

Also, the MS forums off Xbox.com have great tricks, tips and solutions also. I am more of a lurker there, as the forums are full of really tough 12 year olds.

I wouldn't say the ending sucks, but it does leave one hell of a cliffhanger. Remember the ending of The Empire Strikes Back? Han is frozen, Luke loses a hand, and the rebellion is in turmoil.. Suspense

They are just priming you for Kotor III, which I hope is only one year behind II, as II was to I.

this game is my new crack. I've complete dantooine and korriban (though I missed a ton of shit in the sith academy, do you get to go back?), and will be moving on to Onderon in a second.

Make sure to SEARCH the Museam / Library on Onderon. There are robes in there that are second to none. It is a non-random one, and also has a sweet crystal. As far as going back to Korriban, I don' think you can. If you finished the whole level, I don't think you can go back.

After playing the game, how would you change the setup of your character the 2nd time around?

Personally, I am going to make my character more of a Swordsman, maxing out both Strength and Dexterity (to ensure not only a good swordfighter, but also a good defensive ability) as well as my wisdom.
First time around I was dead middle of the road, and found I didn't use my force powers that much. This time around I am gonna kick some ass with my lightsaber.

I've got a sentinel/sith lord that dual wields and is good in combat, but also good at force powers. Next time I'm gonna go guardian/the light warrior prestige class and use a double bladed, or go consular/sith lord and rely heavily on offensive spells.

I am playing through as darkside this time, and DAMN that Hanharr is a beast with a sword. My character just turned level 15 (positive of that due to the class level up) and Hanharr is already at like 22 strength. He is a killing machine!

If you play the game darkside, I would recommend making your character a force power only class. Once you pick up Hanharr, you won't need any further melee characters EVER.

I thought the ending was so so, maybe needed to be a little more dramatic and grand. Overall, the game kicked ass, although I was suprised at how many little glitches there were. I'm not used to that from a console game. No game breakers though, and they detracted very little from the experience.

Hanhaar is a BEAST with a good sword. I just wish I could train him as a Jedi and strap 2 lightsabers on him. And before you say wookies can't be Jedi, it has been done in the books just not the movies.

I just started a light side guardian last night. I'll probably play through that like a crackhead before I move on to RE4. My friend said there's a way to get your lightsaber really quickly but I can't remember because I was stoned at the time. I'll have to look that shit up.

I thought the last 2 or so hours of the game were terrible. A bunch of open quests that never get resolved and a rushed finish. the game was good but it left a very bad taste iin my mouth, I guess I was expecting somehting better, espicially after how much KOTOR 1 ending sucked.

Played through the PC version. I enjoyed it, but it was nowhere near as good as the first. It felt rushed and had some crazy bugs. Not to mention the ending. Don't get me started on that.

So, yeah, I enjoyed it, but the first was far superior.

Well, I beat the game and in terms of gameplay I like Kotor 2 better than the original. However the story was horribly rushed and disjointed. I often saw little story segments that had absoulutley no impact on gameplay and made little sense, because the developers where forced to drop quests and story parts to meet deadline. It also seemed that the characters where a lot shallower and more transparent this time. No real big surprises in this one.

Jedi Consular/Master (I think) crushed infidels with his mighty force powers.

Yep, have to agree with the last few posters, I enjoyed the game, just seemed like it could have been a lot better. Random conversations and little video scenes that don't end up going anywhere irritate me. They shouldn't be in the game if they weren't going to finish it. The ending was horrible too. It was over before I even noticed it had started. Oh well, still enjoyed it, but come on, I'd rather have them delay it for a few months so it would be "complete" instead of rushing it out so it was like this.

What I really disliked about the game was the fact that the story, more often than not, locked you in to finishing the planet before moving on.

For instance, on Nar Shadaa, once you reach a certain part of the story line you can't go back to your ship, you can't pull stuff of other characters because you can't access your party and you can't leave the planet to go do something else. Maybe I don't remember the first game as well, but it seemed to me that the first one was more open ended.

The 'influence' thing they introduced was a good idea, but poorly worked.
And what the hell was the point of all the 'worthless' cut scenes that amounted to nothing? G0-T0 beating up remote? The locked hyperdrive conversation between T3-M4 and HK, which puts up a quest box, but never gives you anyway to complete it.

Not to mention all the running back and forth just for the sake of running back and forth. The 'get the doctor out of jail' thing on Onderon is the perfect example of this. I spent 20 minutes running back and forth between the square, the merchant quarter and the cantina to free the damn doctor with a ton of load screens in between.

And the glitches...well, the first game had a few glitches, no doubt about it, but the second one seemed to have a lot more. I remember reading about the Sith Lords before it came out and the story mentioned that Obsidian would be using the same engine that Bioware put together for the first one. I guess I just assumed that the second game would be exactly like the first, but all polished up. I assumed wrong.

Don't get me wrong, it's a fine game as games go, but the second doesn't hold up very well when compared to the first. The gameplay is good, but the storyline and the...I don't know...the 'feel' of it isn't nearly as impressive as the first. I mean, there was a reason the first one won game of the year from so many gaming magazines and groups.

I hope that for the third game, and I have no doubt there will be a third game, the guys at Bioware take the franchise back and make the game themselves.

I guess I had more to say than I originally thought.....oh well.

I have just finished it, and I think the 1st one was far better. It had that something extra that is hard to put your finger on which makes a game great. I will not come back to KOTOR II and do the dark side, because I didn't find the game that interesting. I would rate the 1st one 95% and the 2nd one 80%.

Apparently you where suppose to go blow up the HK-50 clone factory in a quest. But it got dropped to meet deadline.

Edit

Some interest audio about HK-47 and 50 that was dropped, but left in the folders.

Audio 1 HK

Audio 2 Funny

Edit again, found and upped by people on Obsidian forum in link given earlier.

Just goes to show how the ending was rushed to meet a deadline. Unfortunate, as game developers that take the extra time to truly polish a game are usually rewarded with a superior product.

And we're the ones who lose. Ah well.

Before I was just a little disappointed, but after reading all that about the 'ending,' I'm starting to feel a bit shafted.

I would really be interested in the reasons why they did this and what really happened. Did Obsidian leave it out because it would adversly affect the story or did they just leave the game unfinished in order to rush it out?

If they really intended to use it, I'm sure the teeming masses would've been fine waiting for it. I mean a better game is a better game, no?

I guess that's the difference between great game developers and mediocrity.

I'll say it again, I sure hope Bioware comes back for the third installment.

I would surmise that it isn't that Obsidian wasn't looking to rush it out, but that Lucasarts pushed their weight around and forced them to hit a deadline early. Obsidian doesn't have nearly the clout of Bioware to say, "Hey, it's gonna be late, deal."

No one wants to make a crappy game (with the exception of 3DO), but deadlines are a bitch and are sometimes impossible to hit.
