Help me remember the name of a Sega game
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. This has been bothering me lately.
I used to play a sega game at my neighbor's house (he moved). These are the details of the game as I remember them. It was an turn based rpg Set in outer space with futuristic weapons I don't remember any magic use You started out with one character and built a party Several different alien races were playable You could land on planets and explore them. The game greatly resembled Yoda Sories (the overhead graphical display) This is all I really remember. Does it ring a bell with anyone? I know this is really general, vague descriptions, but the most striking detail for me was the appearance and gameplay. Thanks for the help in advance.

Maybe X-COM:UFO Defense? Did they release that for Sega?

You talking about the Sega genesis or the Sega Mastersystem? If your talking about the genesis then it could be any of thse:
* Buck Rogers: Countdown to Doomsday * Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes II * Phantasy Star II * Phantasy Star IV: The End of the Millennium * Shadowrun * Starflight If your talking about the Master System it could be: * Phantasy Star Hope that helps. Sorry, I was talking about the Sega Genesis. It wasn't any of those games, thanks for the effort. It was almost identicle to the graphics in Yoda Stories and the other desktop games that Lucasarts put out a few years ago. Very little time was spent on the ship, it was mostly exploring planets, and I'm pretty sure there was a race of lizard men aliens, among others. There seemed to be one major enemy group that shadowed your party's movements on all the planets also.
The focus was primarilly on the trips to the planets. Very little time was spent in the ship, but there were occasional space battles and you would have to fix (the game called it "jerry rigging") your ship.

You're talking about Buck Rogers: Countdown to Doomsday. You build a party of six characters, assign them skills, and use your spaceship to travel from one planet to the next where you conduct "away" missions. Your weapons consist of laser pistols, needle guns, and swords primarily. There are spaceship battles, and one of the engineering skills is called "Jury Rig" and is used to repair damage on the fly.

Thank you, Echodork and bal8664, upon further review it is in fact the Buck Rogers game. My apologies for my earlier doubts, but some of those screen shots aren't great. Thanks for all the help.
