I paid $100 for my Phantasy Star IV cart - it's a real piece of art. I never finished it though - but I load it up occasionally on my Noman - just wish I remembered what I was doing in the game :(

Nothing beats the feeling of holding a Genesis/Mega Drive card and slotting into your machine... just like the good ol' days, none of this DVD crap (;))

Mr.Deflok would like to point out that he loves the DVD format but is beset with nostalgic love for cartridges

Okay people, I must admit to something that I don't like to do, but here goes...I'm not perfect. This is ANOTHER game I've forgotten about, which is a game I used to play alot.

I will soon have the anger of an insulted drunken Irishman if I find any more games in this thread I've forgotten to mention.

Gjefflin 06-03-2004 08:53 PM

Hmmm......I didn't know about Maximum carnage either!!! DAMNIT! So many games I missed back then! But i'm trying to catch up now. hehehehee.

skier 06-03-2004 09:31 PM

NHL 97!!!
NBA Jam

and

paperboy

WarWagon 06-03-2004 09:47 PM

Noooo, Paperboy's claim to fame is solely Nintendo-based. Any Sega version must hang its head in shame.

primal 06-03-2004 09:52 PM

Mortal combat (with red blood SNES version had green blood)
Golden Axe 1 & 2
Pat Riley Basketball
X-men

About to try it again, will let you know if it works!

EDIT1: No dice... about to try another EA title...
EDIT2: Again, no dice... ah well, S+K alone rocks my world anyway.

Bonus game trick
Put a game other than Sonic 2 or 3 in the top of the Sonic & Knuckles cartridge. Then, when it shows the picture of the trio and the message at the top, press A, B, and C simultaneously to play Bonus Games.
Works!

Ace_O_Spades 06-04-2004 12:33 AM

i KNEW there was a trick!

woo

I'm glad I opened your eyes to this... so much extra fun

Mutant League Football! What a great game.... there were landmines and such on the field that you would run onto and explode.

Unfortunately it's just the plain old Bonus Level you play when you try and earn a Chaos Emerald, neat trick nonetheless and it can be done with any game, not just an EA title :) Thanks though!!

Madd 06-04-2004 09:03 AM

oh man this takes me back

alted(sp?) beast
golden axe
gunstar hero's
sonic 2, 3 and 4

Gjefflin 06-04-2004 05:37 PM

There was a Sonic 4 but it was never released, nor finished. The ROM is easily downloadable though. Has some cool features like being able to grab your partner, make them spin in your hands and send them flying wherever you please.

Gjefflin 06-07-2004 10:39 AM

I gotta look for more roms.

GregsterGT 06-12-2004 02:29 PM

Sonic and Knuckles, and Samurai Showdown

Gjefflin 06-12-2004 05:17 PM

There was some game that I can't believe I forgot about but I can't remember the name. And..it had a main character and you could play with another person and you had a sword and it was a side scroller. YOu basically walked and hacked up enemies that approached from the left and right with swords of their own. It was bloody as hell but fun!!!

Jared Jones 11-02-2004 07:15 PM
