I personally got bored of Lost Temple after playing match after match on it. I now play maps like Gaema Gowon, Jim Raynor's Memory. and Halls of Valhalla. I also enjoy the Paradoxxx II map as well. If anyone ever wants to 1v1 me, i'm at US EAST screenname SonRK.

man, i used to love this game. Been 3 or more years since I last played.. but damn I played the shit out of it. I remember that BGH map on fastest. I remember when I quit playing my record was like 475 wins and 45 losses on one character and something over 500 wins on my other account. I got in that rut of everyone else playing only on BGH though, and I wish I had played more maps. I guess I could always try again, but I remember a series of typical-blizzard-plaqued cheats cropping up and ruining what was easily the best RTS I think ever created (IMO).

heh... i got onto the bnet and got sucked into the moneymaps and they really affected my overall game strtegy to the point where i seriously blow ass on regular maps any more...
if you wanna be a real player, not just some 12 year old fucktard who cheats out his ass, play it real, play it standard, and get your skills the better way.

Urrrgh. I usually play over a network agianst the same group of friends. I'm thinking about returning to Battle.net though
If you want to mix up your stratagies try Dire Straights. It's a very good island map that forces you to change your strategy from the typical BGH, since resources become a major issue.

Killing Fields will forever be my favorite Starcraft map. Why? Because it is one of the most free-form maps in RTS history. You don't fight for your "natural" expansion, you fight for every inch you can get. And you have to create a useful defense, no more chokepoints to save you.

One day an Englishman, a Scotsman, and an Irishman walked into a pub together. They each bought a pint of Guinness. Just as they were about to enjoy their creamy beverage, three flies landed in each of their pints. The Englishman pushed his beer away in disgust. The Scotsman fished the fly out of his beer and continued drinking it, as if nothing had happened. The Irishman, too, picked the fly out of his drink but then held it out over the beer and yelled "SPIT IT OUT, SPIT IT OUT, YOU BASTARD!" |

Mostly, these maps require little skill. All you really have to do is mass and whoever has the most units win. I haven't played a money map in over 2 years so I don't really know if they have changed in that period of time. I only play maps that have been approved for the season over at WGTour. The maps that are used are like LT 2.3, Gaema Gowon, Halls of Valhalla, Namja Iyagi, etc.

I need some warcraft expansion help.
I'm at the last mission of the Zerg side. Where you have to fight off everyone. There are three bases around you and they all kind of hammer you one right after the other. I played it for about a month straight about a year ago and finally gave up. I keep getting my ass kicked everytime I go after someone by the other two. Can someone give me some help on how or who to attack first.

i like the fast cash maps, building a huge force of men then throwing them into the middle of a battle with other people. nothing more fun than that! arb recalls, guardian rape, hydro nydus, it's all there and so easy to do! bad side is map maxing.
btw i hate warcraft III Stompy. I don't like the concept of having one unit stronger than everyone eles by creeping and leveling up. I say if u want ur units strong UPGRADE like a normal person. The heros killed WC3 IMO, but then again so does the 90 food limit EDIT: sarge man, type in power overwhelming and the answeres will come |

Pacavelli, I think the whole point of the hero system and changes made to the unit numbers and food production in WC3 was to add something new to the game. I mean, the beauty of Blizzard games is that you can STILL play WC2 on Bnet along with SC. If you dont like 3, keep playing 2. Personally I like them both, though they are very different games. I never got the WC3 expansion though. Can someone tell me if it is worthwhile?
