Have an idea...
I have a solid game idea, but no access to the development community to get things underway. Anyone have good ideas for me?

he he..
I know that tfproject is full of the widest range of people, artists, gamers, techies, everyone. Thats why I love it here. I plan on setting everything up on a webpage, and look for people to contribute.. conceptual art, ideas, business models on the genre.. It could be the greatest tfproject project ever

what engine are you using? there are some great engines out there that are open source(http://www.sourceforge.org) and some that are retail. (http://www.valvesoftware.com) I believe you can even use the Unreal engine, but i'm not sure. If you are talking about console development.. there are tons of forums to joing regarding homebrew development. Would you care to elaborate on your ideas? Lot's of people have ideas for games, but many never go anywhere.. how serious are you about this?

I havent thought of engine, but the target is PC. The reason for this is the fact that the concept is for a MMORPG (though I dislike the term, and its not a role playing game.
Unfortunatly Im not a programmer, otherwise I would have been able to start something. Instead, I am the ideas person, the one who has all the stuff in his head and no way of making it come live.

It's really hard being just the idea man, honestly. There are lots of ideas out there. You need to do more than kick out the idea and then let others do the rest. If you aren't trained in coding, I understand, but you might try creating some test models of major elements of the game, either with an engine or with an art program, or something. Plus, I would have at least a rough storyline (or, in the case a persistant world, some quests or what have you) to get people interested.
