What About Call of Duty?

who here plays Call of Duty? i do, it's a wicked game that will take a long time to get tired of. i just wish that you were able to use vehicles instead of always walking aroung the whole damn time...lol It's a world war 2 shooter with massive online multiplayer action going on. i'll put up pics when i get some.

Call of Duty is old news now

The reason I was confused is because he said it would be nice to go in some vehicles every once in a while instead of walking everywhere.

There's a tank mission where you drive a tank over trees and blow up buildings (badass), a mission where you are riding in the back of a truck nuking the bad guys with a Panzerfaust, and a mission where you get on an AA gun and create the Apocolypse and the coming of the Four Horsemen

CoD was great. Emphasis on was. It's still a good game, but I'm personally far past that now, back into BF, and playing the shit out of the UT2k4 demo.

I still run a CoD server, and it was a lot of fun. My family members and friends still play, so I'll hop on once in a while, just hard to find a challenge

But as far as the actual game goes, I think it has MOHAA hands down, the sound is great, the movement feels a lot better, and the gameplay is just so much more fluid. I really didn't care for single player that much, it was really short.

I thought the driving/riding lvls really brought the game down.

ehhh... I beat it the same day I got it and haven't touched it since.

I had a blast playing the single-player missions, but I just don't think it has that "replayable" thing going for it.

What!!!!!!! You're saying the tank mission wasn't awesome? I purposely died four times in a row at the end just to play it over and over again Running over trees was quite possibly the coolest thing I had ever seen

I wasn't too fond of the Tank mission myself, wasn't as intense as the rest of the game, but ploughing down trees does rock.

meh

if i want to drive tanks, ill play battlefield.
i especially did not like shooting the cars from the back of the truck.

but i DID like the early mission where you ride shotgun in the small car.

Tanks was awesome, but it took me so many fucking tries to win the level when you were in the back of the truck with rpg thing. Altho I will say, I loved 90% of the missions, and the fact that you can look down the barrel was so different from CS, it made it too easy. Even on the hard difficulty heh.

God I despise that level. I still can't get past it, any tips? But besides that level I enjoyed the game.

Which level, the one where you are in the back of the truck, or where you are on the AA gun? If you are talking about the back of the truck with the Panzerfaust mission, just take trajectory into consideration. I beat it on the third or fourth try. Make sure you don't let any Nazi's climb into the truck from their vehicles, either. Keep spinning around looking for bad guys, and don't shoot unless you KNOW you are gonna hit them, as you will run out of ammo pretty quick.

The AA gun mission is straight forward: Shoot the damn airplanes as fast as possible And don't shoot YOUR airplane at the end, or it's mission over. It's the one on the runway near the end of the mission. Take into consideration that the AA gun is slow to move and that timing is everything It helps if you yell obsceneties or badass movie quotes while you're doing it.

The single player was very fun, but the truck mission with the rockets I thought that was easy. Got it on the first try, I had more difficulty with other missions on foot.

It was a great game. Kinda short.. I can't remember exactly but it didn't take that much time to play through.
Started the toughest level but then got bored cause it wasn't tough enough.

the only thing that i didn't like about CoD was that there weren't any vehicles in the multiplayer like unreal tournament does since they both are running on a UT engine.

for WWII FPS I prefer MoH:AA it had much better multi-player. for general mayhem I like the UT2K4 demo. CoD was ok, but doenst compare with either.

I finished it on the second hardest setting. I should have picked an easier one, because I spent more time quicksaving and loading in the harder levels than playing the game. But fortunately the loading screens with the quotes were fun to read. Good game.

It's a lot different than Battlefield 1942. It's the best single player WWII sim I've played (next in line to Medal of Honor), but the multiplayer doesn't do much for me. The single player action, however, is unrivaled in the genre.
