There's a new mmorpg coming out about Super Heroes. Maybe that's something you'd enjoy.
www.cityofheroes.com Personally, I think the employees there are a bunch of ass faces, but I'll still probably play their game.

I wanna Play
BLOOD OF HEROES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wanna play a game
Pulsar Games bought the rights to MEGS the system by Mayfair games. (I wanna play)Mayfair did DC Heroes, now Pulsar games has updated rules and powers and the ability to make villians and plain ol "anti-heroes" vigilante? (please play?)or just that greedy guy that's no villian, but likes to knock off heroes and take their loot.. (I wanna play)Its no longer DC.. so there are (I wanna play)no DC references, and from that they have created a world of their own, which is cool. Did I mention yet that I wanna play? .... arg.... see above statement.

Ive played the Paladium version.. It was pretty good if you got creative players who just didnt recycle Marvel and DC characters

hero is way cool, but highly simulationist. Pair it with Champions and you have a well balanced but complex system. http://www.peginc.com/OurGames/SavageWorlds.htm Savage worlds would also be good, for a more cinematic quick and dirty game, but you will have work to do to set it up. http://arcdream.com/godlike/ godlike is a cool game set in the 30's/40's with wacky system.

Not currently (though I am running Adventure! currently, which is sort of a superhero game. Pulp action heroes were the forebears of superheroes). Played/ran a lot of SH games in the past though.
Champions/HERO System (lots) GURPS Supers (not much, too deadly) V&V (not much) Heroes Unlimited (Palladium, quite a bit) TWERPS Supers (admit, you have too) DC Heroes Aberrant (minimally) Marvel Super Heores (the old one, so very much and so very often) I've read a bit into Silver Age Sentinels, but didn't really dig it. There's another d20 offering out right now that is supposed to be extremely good, can't recall the name though. Something like Mutants & Masterminds, though that might be the name of a supplement for it. I love the genre, but find that I don't run it well anymore. I stopped reading comics about a decade ago out of irritation at the industry, and steadily lost touch with the feel for the superhero genre. It helps that my group isn't really into that style of game too. I've a couple of players that enjoy it, but aren't any good at it, a couple that hate it passionately, and one that likes it and can actually play it. |
