Games You're Ashamed To Admit You Like?

*This may have been done before, couldn't find any topics like it*

The game I'm newly addicted to is... this is going to be hard...

The Sims! :hmm:

Don't get me wrong, I like good games like Half-Life, Tom Clancy games, fantasy games (like Asheron's Call, etc...), but something about this game is fun to me, at least for a while. I enjoy climbing my way up the social and economic ladder, that's pretty much it.

I need to buy Black and White or something...

Distraction 11-30-2003 10:21 PM

Any of the old wcw wrestling games for the N64.

Used to play those every day afterschool with a couple of friends. Good times.

Willy 11-30-2003 10:28 PM

Everquest.

The first rule of EQ club is...you don't talk about EQ club.

New school: Pokemon games. Just shut up.

Old school: NBA Jam. He's on fire!

Really old school: Mine Sweeper. No comment.

dragon2fire 11-30-2003 10:58 PM

evil milk man i am the same way

guthmund 11-30-2003 11:11 PM

Pikmin.

At first, I just played to help my nephew along. Soon it grew to my own saved game. I've even went through it a couple times to get my time down.

Yoshi's story is the same way.

Moskie 12-01-2003 12:02 AM

Super Spike VBall!

I think that game is the sole reason I keep an NES emualtor on my computer.

Lokus 12-01-2003 12:11 AM

Wayne Gretzy's 3D Hockey for the N64 and Blades of Steel for the NES.

IckUber 12-01-2003 12:19 AM

Animal Crossing

Mr.Deflok 12-01-2003 04:41 AM

I'm not ashamed of it but people seem to look down on it, anything on my GBA and the movie tie-in games for Harry Potter.

Evil Milkman 12-01-2003 05:37 AM

Maybe we should start a support group or something, anyone think of a name? :p Keep it up, some of those games I did once play. In fact, while I'm thinking about it...

cradeg 12-01-2003 08:41 AM

BigBlueWrecking 12-01-2003 08:46 AM

Ok, I still play Frogger for PS1 from time to time. It is the newer Frogger, but it is Frogger all the same.

I also used to play Mega Bomber Man when my cable company started getting the Sega Channel!!! What a great idea that channel was! I almost failed Accounting because of it.

oblar 12-01-2003 09:47 AM

This isnt too embarassing considering my attitude towards most things, but people tell me I should be embarassed, so I will list them here..

Nethack (fairly popular) and Leygref's Castle (old game on my 286).

archer2371 12-01-2003 05:27 PM

Yeah, Pokemon, it actually is a pretty good RPG, but I think the hype that surrounded it killed it for the casual fan, like myself.

Apokx 12-01-2003 05:32 PM

Pokemon..I played most of the games up to the Silver Version and I stopped..being obsessed with Pokemon at 15 was embarrasing.

(This was years ago)

I don't touch the games anymore.

Oh,and the beginning of FFx-2 is too girly :P

zero2 12-02-2003 03:04 PM

hey we have something in common. For awhile I was playing it so that I could get this swimsuit called the venus.

t3m3st 12-02-2003 03:16 PM

the digimon digivices were fun because everyone thought you were jacking off. I remember I was sitting in the corner of my class a few years ago trying to gain "distance points" or whatever, and my friend came over and sat next to me, and she started shakin it under the desk near my lap... it was sooo funny... teacher freaked out

Yeah, most of the Pokemon games that came out were really good, in-depth RPGs at core. The little kids going crazy over the franchise ruined it for casual gamers, though. I played the Red Version like a year before it got popular.

skyscan 12-05-2003 09:57 PM

Rune, bunch of people being as cheap as possible now, used to be a great game, kind of a 3rd person shooter, with swords. Great multiplayer, single player sucked.
