I played for about a month. I had a level 32 merchant when I quit (they started charging...I'm not about to pay for a game that doesn't even show armor). I have to admit that it was a very, very addicting MMORPG.
I figured out how to make about 80,000 zenny per hour without cheating before I quit. I thought it was pretty damn funny that I played a month and figured it out that fast. Well, it's not really figuring out, it's more of being able to be a good merchant. I had made about a million zenny before I quit (I played that game a LOT during that month). If that game had more support, better translation, and better player skins, then I honestly think I would still be playing. I found the game mechanics better than EQ. The mercantile system is the best I've seen in any game EVER. -Lasereth

i used to play ragnarok, but then they started charging, and you couldnt play unless you had a Korean SSN, and i didnt want to wait for the international server to get the bugs out..
I had a level 47 theif and a level 20 something archer.. I dont usually do the MMORPG thing, but the game was very fun. I even got my girlfriend into it because the character design was cute. My buddies and I would hold a LAN party and then all go online and play IRO and have a blast.. How much is it these days? I might start playing again if everything echecks out ok. I found Gravity to be a very unerstanding and fair dev company. They tried VERY HARD to keep things even and even help out the english speaking players.. Kudos! Though, the manga and anime for Ragnarok suck |

Gravity has cleared up their act since the start of P2P. We have Comodo which is pretty good e en though the kRO servers have had it for months ( possibly years ). We also have the addition of permanent PvP
The payment is as follows: 1 month = 12.00 USD 3 months = 32.00 USD 6 months = 57.00 USD

I played for about a month before they started charging. For how much they charge, I would definitely want a customizable character (i.e. armor and clothes show up on your character). When I quit, I was a lvl. 28 Acolyte.
One of the main reasons I quit (besides the payment plan) is because people accused you of being a "scammer" when they paid you to warp them to a city, and the lag held it up and they never see the warp. Try explaining why the warp field didn't show up to someone who just paid you a sum of gold. Lag just didn't do it for most people. I got reported DOZENS of times for being a scammer, when in all actuality the lag would freeze the warp to where it wouldn't appear on their screen. Complete bullshit.

I used to play the beta with a few friends, then it went pay-to-play. So we then played Asgard Online (Korean Ragnarok translated to English and run on a private server), but it got shutdown by Gravity.

I used to play as well but the way Gravity treated the international customers as opposed to the Korean customers disgusted me along with their incompetence in general. There were tons of problems, there are poor translations and iRO got content WAY after the rest of the servers.
Some incidents that I remember: Gravity got hacked and the entire list of players including their name and passwords were stolen. This was actually done by a guy who was working with a private server and they just wanted some of the database stuff to bring their own database for the server up to date. Gravity had everyone change their name and password and used some bullshit excuse to try and hide their lack of network security. There were some other things that I can't remember at the moment but in general my experience with Gravity's service wasn't all that great. There was another time when a sub-GM banned everybody. I don't know if he used a wildcard while trying to ban one person or if there is a command that bans everybody (wonder what the reasoning behind that is heh) but they had to go through all the bans and remove everybody one by one.
