I just finished a 10-day trial yesterday. Not planning on buying it. Many annoying bugs that detract from gameplay. MAJOR lag issues. Gameplay can be cool and fun, but I didn't like the game enough to buy it.
Oh and the lag issues can be minimized by putting the graphics settings all the way down... which everyone does, but my question is: Why even have the high settings when they make the game unplayable? Did nobody notice this and say, "Hmm.. maybe we need to take a look at this!" |

I played the game when it first came out, because a bunch of my Everquest friends were jumping ship (the hype for this game was huge since it took so long to develop). I cancelled my account the day my trial ran out.
First off, the lag issues were out of control. Even on a T1 connection, the huge battles were basically unplayable, even with the graphics turned all the way down. It felt like playing a game that was rushed to be released, when really they took years developing it. I was majorly upset about this, and they lost a ton of people the first few months because of this fact. Then there was the people that would raid your city at 5 in the morning and destroy a whole bunch of stuff. It got to the point where it was like, what IS the point? Take an assload of time farming cash to build up a city just to have it destroyed in your goddamn sleep? People took the game way too seriously. Plus, it just got boring after awhile. Once you level up, its like... ok, farm cash and fight in laggy battles. Yay. I'd rather play a FPS or something than that game. I dunno, maybe (hopefully!) its gotten better, but im still not paying for a subscription.

I gave that game more time than I should have. I thought they would get their stuff together....they didn't. |

My friend bought it and it lagged like hell. Doesn't look like a game worth buying, that's for sure.

played it in beta and for about a month after release...
the lag...is horrible compared to other MMORPGS, the graphics arent that hot either, but other than that the PvP and politics are pretty fun, until your town gets destroyed and you have nothing left. i stopped playing becuase i got bored, not much content for the higher levels of the game |

I watched my friend play it a little. It looked ok, but I could never imagine paying for it.
