*edit* decided to expand on this post If you have seen the movie Aliens (not the first one, Alien), you can play it. Someone made probably the best total conversion ever when they made Aliens DOOM. The levels and sounds were lifted right from the movie. As you proceed through the game, Apone is giving you orders with lines right from the movie. The gun sounds, aliens sounds, and graphics are as good as it gets for original DOOM technology. The aliens come crawling out of the walls and appear all around you, hissing, and biting. Damn.... I want to play it now. Anyone have a copy? Let me know, please. |
Doom, Half-Life, Hexen, & Blood 2. Just spooky games with freaky ambient sound.

Arx Fatalis: Sometimes you can hear those fast little rat guys sneaking up on you from behind... the clincher; they can turn invisible! Play this game with headphones on.
Clive Barker's Undying: Three words (whispered): Look around you. All in all... games don't produce much fright for me. Those Silent Hill games have their nice elements of surprise, but their more like cheesy eighties horror flicks than anything. |
Undying. Creepy game

first game i ever really got a fright out of was Resident Evil.
at some part when a nasty beast/mutation, jumps through a window... i was up late playing it, and i seriously jumped about a foot into the air. |

Anyways, my bro thinks Super Mario 64 is funny (haha). He jumped and started crying when princess's face turns into bowser. He was like 4, hahahaha, boy, was that funny. Ummm, probably Silent Hill is the only one i've played. |
Silent Hill with that eerie crackling of the radio that goes off when an enemy is near by. spooky :P
