I know there's already a thread..but I thought it should be brought to people's attention.

We can leave this discussion for just the new changes. The new survival mode seems to be okay. The lighthouse map was okay for the few times I tried it. Personal best was 4 min...but I'd like to get some more practice and to play with a team not random scrubs.

I'm really loving the VS adjusted Dead Air though..

I was too busy to really try out any of the new content, but I did try survival mode at the lighthouse a couple times. I've gotta say, its better than I expected. I thought it would feel too much like an expert or advanced finale, but it was a lot of fun with my buds. Our best time was 5 minutes on our second attempt, and we just got worse and worse...lol. But still fun. We loved blowing up all those propane tanks in a group. BAM! haha

It was crazy and unpredictable too... 3 smokers at once, 3 hunters, and a tank! Craaaaazy....

I'll try out the other content soon. hopefully. I'd love to try death toll versus. bwahahahaaaaa....

Survival mode is a great addition! I wasn't expecting it to get so intense so quickly, but it's still a lot of fun. Some people are already on the leaderboards with 30+ minutes... How?! I think my best round is 6:30 so far.

I may try it out tonight. The game got very stale, very quickly for me because despite the AI director, it really is the same thing over and over. That game needs custom maps through the SDK worse than any game I've seen.

The horde keeps running in place!!!

The specials are working great though. In one 5min game we killed 7 tanks, 29 smokers, and a few blobbies/hunters. If they fix the bug on moonwalking normal horde this will be a scream!

So I played a couple more survivor maps last night.
Its really hard for me to play, because once it starts, my ping zooms up to 1400.....or higher.
We tried all kinds of servers, and I continuously had that problem *sighs*
So, I can't really enjoy survivor mode, when I play, I have to hide behind other players a lot.
And what is the deal with smokers being able to catch me through brick walls?!?!
My team and I almost made it to gold on no mercy finale (rooftop), 50 seconds to go, when we got three tanks, and they knocked us off the building. lol. Bastards.

The survival mode is fairly fun for a quick pickup game. I don't think I would go out of my way to invest hours in any of them, but it's fun when you only want 20-30 min of L4D play seeing as vs or campaigns are a 1.5h+ commitment.

The best ambush I've seen so far is the smoker pulling a survivor through the metal detector in Dead Air vs. It was pretty epic to be on the receiving end of that one. Also, there's a kill spot on Dead Air one where you can smoker a guy off the rooftop..been fun playing around with new maps.

Thanks for letting me know! I will definitely be trying out all of these tonight, in a couple of hours.
Can't wait, and soon enough we should be able to play a few good custom maps. There is so much potential in this game.
