MMO recomendation:Tabula Rasa
Just a quick FYI.
Tabula Rasa is live, and if you are looking for a game that mixes the intensity of an FPS with an MMO this is quite possibly your game. Its not perfect yet, and has a few minor issues, but its FUN to level, something thats missing in most mmos. Anyways look it up if it sounds interesting.

Ustwo, thanks for the info. I'd been wondering if I wanted to try it. It looks pretty good and by the time I have internet worth playing on (March or so) many of the kinks should be worked out. I'm also awaiting my beta test approval for Warhammer Online which looks pretty good as well!

I played in the beta for a pretty long time, I just didn't think Tabula Rasa was that good. It doesn't feel any different from any MMO I've ever played, the only difference is that they trick you into thinking it's an FPS because you have to click on targets to attack them, rather than targeting them and engaging an auto-attack. It's not a terrible game, and probably better than many of the MMO's out today, but I don't know if I'd recommend it to anybody.

I think the only reason they didn't make it a true FPS was due to lag limitations. All they would have to do is take out the ability to lock your target and bingo, its an fps. I rarely lock targets as it is, and using the shotgun is pretty much an fps as you can't lock with one.

TR is something different. Its a hybrid fps/rpgmmo, very fast paced, less loot oriented. Its a lot more fun to play, and 'grinding' doesn't feel much like a grind when you are fighting off an invasion. So far I like it a lot.
