Hardest. Mario. Game. Ever.

I saw this on G4tv.com The creator of this mod/rom seriously has issues. I'm not sure I'd have the will power to finish this if I was playing.

Lastly, to quote the G4 intro:

This is what Mario would be like in hell.

HAHAHAH god that is awesome.. it owns you every time you try to do the basic thing you're accustomed to. What, you thought you were going to run and long jump that? baha, there was a box there, dumbass.

That's crazy. And yea, that's the most twisted hell I can imagine.

Torture for all involved.

Cool refried beans, Batman! That was HI-larious. I friggin' hated watching every minute of that sadistic video, but I also couldn't help snickering during every last second of that incomparably long & excruciating gameplay. That would indeed be the embodiment of unusual and extreme torture if ever there was a need to implement it.

{Scenario}
"What's that? Let you go? Why, no problem at all. All that we require you to do is complete a simple game of Super Mario Bros."
"What?! You can't be serious?"
Why, yes indeed, we are serious. But the interesting little detail of this task is that this particular version of Mario was concocted by The Dr. H. H. Holmes himself. Mwua-ha-Ha-ha-Ha-ha."
"Oh...My...Noes!"
"Prepare to endure a torture the likes of which you have never seen before!"
"You can't expect to succeed with such a plan!"
"I don't expect to succeed Mr. Bond, I expect you to die―by playing the only game that was banned by from Hell itself for being too cruel. Mwua-ha-Ha-ha-Ha-ha-Ha-ha!!!"

Not only am i very impressed with the level, i'm impressed with the player also.

this mod is MUCH harder than the bullshit AIR mod that was out a little while ago. this version requires actual precision whereas that one requires you to just find out where all the empty tubes and blocks are.

personally, i don't think i would've gotten much farther than the squid

If a mushroom were used he could have just run along the top. But I guess that would have been cheating.

My thoughts exactly. Still pissed about this great/hate video. Now the question that remains is how does one go about creating a ROM of Super Mario Bros. like this one?

OH... TOO FUNNY!!!... No...CAN'T... STOP...LAUGHING!!!!

Seriously, you need to watch this version, as it is 200x the hilarity of the first, if not lacking in the music a bit. But the dude's constant frustration is all too funny.

Indeed. Best 20 minute commentary of 2 Mario levels ever.

Believe it or not I still play this game, in Mariop, its not that hard, you can actually jump backward after hitting a hidden coin box, you can move back in mid air to the platform.

Personally, I don't think the two sound much, or at all alike, but I've only heard heard him speak but for five minutes
(they don't/didn't give him too many lines on 'Criminal Minds', though perhaps, he sounded different as a younger method actor.)

Still, though, I agree with those that think this should go into the internet/funny video Hall of Fame.

There's also this (which may, or may not, have been influenced by the select video above..):
