I don't think I know what 'acute' means (it has one of the most varied definitions in the English dictum).
I'll enlighten myself on the proper context of when to use it: acute.

Hey, I was just watching a PBS special about energy-saving in California, but I didn't catch the name of it.
Really made a good point: change won't come to those who cannot it, and therefore, change is not really ever felt at all unless it started from the ground up.
