Jet,
Please don't count your blessings before the chickens hatch. As far as I heard, some experts believe that the Devil actually inhabited Flash Gordon's soul prior to his last departure from Mars, and thus made his way to Georgia unbeknownst to most humans, except for Charlie Daniels. Some of these experts have reason to believe that the bacteria that causes tooth decay when you eat too much sugar, or marzipan, is actually the current form that the Devil has taken in his attempt to infiltrate the human genome.

All we can do is pray and brush every day.

You can string all sorts of things out with that thread, depending on what you've been eating.

& it makes more sense.

(I've never paid for it, only sold myself.)

MexicanOnABike 08-15-2009 08:56 AM

there is a serious lack of posts in this thread.

BadNick 08-15-2009 09:01 AM

it might be because it's summer in the NH and people are busy exposing themselves to ultraviolet radiation

you might think the people in the SH would step up to the plate and fill in as needed, but they don't know much about baseball

ring 08-15-2009 09:03 AM

Eight strikes and I'm out.

BadNick 08-15-2009 09:06 AM

wow, I'm glad nobody's counting mine

And one for OCM? (For the appropriate followon reference, not the actual proposal of sentiment, as it were.)

I agree, and I'm running short of ideas without having much affirmation.

+1 more.

I once saw a young duck trying to lay her eggs in a Perkins parking lot.

Tophat665 08-16-2009 08:09 AM

You wanted it to get longer?

tophat...duck you

one day recently we saw a duck in the bushes outside our office and then a couple days later she was sitting on a few eggs under the bush. Then we noticed the hawk which patrols our area being quite interested. All of a sudden, the hawkie swoops down and torments the duck who fights back and chases the hawk away. A few minutes later, the hawk swoops in again and is now claws hooked into mother duck...we run out to save our dearie duck and chase the hawk away...though you may appreciate the hawk thought it was the local ruler, we are significantly larger and hawk was inspired to see our point of view. We kept a vigil and after a few hours the eggs were no longer under our bush, the mommie duck had moved her brood to a more secure location. And they live happily ever after.

ps: yesterday I had two duck rolls for my appetizer and they tasted quite familiar

if you care enough to, wiki the title address of the image in question (by right-clicking the image, hitting 'properties') to find out how and why this happened.

carrot glace 08-16-2009 09:33 PM

my silence means i have nothing interesting to say, im sorry.

Tophat665 08-17-2009 06:38 AM

There is no ducking me, Nick.

We saw swans in Lake Michigan - highly unexpected for such a huge body of water.

There were ducks there, too.

Jetée 08-17-2009 07:24 AM

Are their bills made out of wood?

It looks, too asymmetrical.

Tophat665 08-17-2009 07:31 AM

That's a right bonny bird, there

Jetée 08-17-2009 07:32 AM

I never knew how much music this thread was missing.

For being the longest thread, there's not much covered in-depth, is there?

Ourcrazymodern? 08-17-2009 07:38 AM

I believe in us.
Believing's always outside,
'less you keep it in.

The rain outside is soothing.
The scent of it comes inside.

BadNick 08-17-2009 01:09 PM

it rains somewhat more often in Olympia WA than in Timbuktu

I know because my beloved daughter lives in Olympia where there is a strong, long tradition of progressive music and her band rvivr is quite progressive and not for the feint of heart or ear. Me being a vinyl advocate from pre-digital days, I'm heartened that they only produce themselves on vinyl. Later this year they're going on a tour and will be near you wherever you are. Here's them on youtube, live in Sacramento earlier this year, pt. 2 of 1 ...she plays the 'lectric bass

Ourcrazymodern? 08-17-2009 01:43 PM

What's too many times?
What with my willingness to echo
there's not such a thing.

Tophat665 08-17-2009 02:41 PM

Too many times? To many echoes? Too much tequila? Too many limes?
I got too many toos.

ring 08-18-2009 05:32 AM

Thanks for the book, OCM?.
It arrived yesterday.
