I am at the top of the new page wave.

Let's drink it to it all.

(once again, huge, and a clicky)

I'd drink to your strength,
but it seems you have some greed,
which I don't respect.

Jetée 08-05-2009 04:35 PM

Avarice... we all have it; I forget to indulge it often, so much so I veer more towards Sloth.

Ourcrazymodern? 08-05-2009 05:09 PM

Man, don't damn yourself,
I wouldn't wish to do so;
I apologize.

Jetée 08-05-2009 05:26 PM

Man, how long has it been since someone featured a song in The Longest Thread?

Know any good beach tunes?

ring 08-05-2009 06:16 PM

This one tickles the sand between my toes:

Jetée 08-05-2009 06:38 PM

Thank you. I'm stepping off into delusions, and animation, maybe.
Not sure if this will come in the form of dreamscapes or streaming sources.
I should retire.

I'll leave these here, and pick them back up tomorrow.

Shell's slippers are worth a lot more than those;
Tarred, charred, & feathered.

Ourcrazymodern? 08-06-2009 05:41 AM

I had some slippers,
but I can't keep track of pants,
so guess where they are?

When a true story
fails to displease you at all,
consider it one.

Tophat665 08-06-2009 07:46 AM

This is a true story.

Only the names have been changed
to protect the guilty

keeping it inside yourself
is impossible.

Give me a few minutes. I don't recover as well as quickly as I did in my 20s.

I :hearts: Susan Hart (Lily) in this...Shelley Fabares was too cheesy in this movie, her name was Brie

Tophat665 08-06-2009 12:21 PM

A friend of mine once noted I look an unfortunate amount like Timer.

Jetée 08-06-2009 03:20 PM

It seems we have strayed away.

ring 08-06-2009 03:23 PM

I've taken in many strays over the years.

Lead us back on track, Jetty.

When was this, a week or two ago?

I found a new podcast for you crazy guys, and it is along the same lines of weird dangerous creatures, yet it was discussed nearly two years ago... Sept. 28, 2007
Big O and Dukes, Badgers, Beavers, and the Brain-Eating Amoebas

You'll notice the "intern with poison tree dart frogs" comes back up. Oh, and this awesome picture I found 12 days ago is now strangely topical. Enjoy.

This is now a week after the format flip I told you guys about, but other than sports headlines at the top of every other hour, the same enjoyably-intriguing off-topic reference show that ties back to sports somehow is still going strong.

Yesterday's was "a classic". To quote a piano-playing bond, "Please to enjoy".
(And today was the first time i listened to the show live)

7/27 Seg. 4- The Sports Junkies

Donks, Canary fighting, wild exotic animals

word of advice if you are among the two persons who click this link: don't try to stream it in your browser... the station is having some kind of problems with the new streaming source, shipping it to New York and back, so just download the clip and play it in your resident media player.

Again, enjoy. :surprised: (you two).

He has:
'It's a good day to die.'
written all over his countenance.

...Or, he's just all benovelent loving everything.

One in the same, perhaps.

Ourcrazymodern? 08-06-2009 06:02 PM

Do not be angry;
After all, I posef the same way,
& did so for you.

I think you know where I'm coming from, even if this little device doesn"t do what I want, all the time.

Sharon 08-06-2009 06:09 PM

Longest thread, old friend
You live on still, in fine form
Your heart will go on

ring 08-06-2009 06:47 PM

Ahoy Sharon!

You have been sorely missed by many of your fellow longest threadlings.
There will be joyous dancing and celebrating,
when they see you have returned.

Yay.

im suddenly thirsty. no idea why.

BadNick 08-07-2009 06:18 AM

my body is about 60% water...have a sip.

A significant fraction of the human body is water. Lean muscle tissue contains about 75% water by weight. Blood contains 95% water, body fat contains 14% water and bone has 22% water. Skin also contains much water. The human body is about 60% water in adult males and 55% in adult females.

In diseased states where body water is affected, the compartment or compartments that have changed can give clues to the nature of the problem. Body water is regulated by hormones, including anti-diuretic hormone (ADH), aldosterone and atrial natriuretic peptide

about 3-4 years ago, I had the habit of downloading/saving any and all interesting photos on the internet I could find, and when relevant and issued, I attributed both the title and author to the picture. Here is such an example:

I'm beat and woozy.

Well, it took me an hour to find what I had previously saved 17 days 20 hours 50 minutes and 45 seconds ago... it's a reference to 'Nighthawks'

I still need to find that picture of a black gentleman covered in blood beside the carcass of a decapitated cow/bull, and he is holding the head under his arm. If anyone has seen this picture, you can nudge me in the right direction of where to find it again... I'd appreciate it.
