My so-called vi'lent organ
finds itself longing for a release
unbeknownst until I'm there.

A. B. R.

(44 hours)(!)

MexicanOnABike 07-15-2009 03:51 PM

yes

BadNick 07-15-2009 04:22 PM

One ate two for three. So that might explain why the other two are still hungry.

Jetée 07-16-2009 11:23 AM

I think we're falling behind... we still hold an approximate tally of +2,000 posts to overcome "WA", which roughly translates to a running daily accumulation of <= (I don't know to how post the 'greater than, equal' sign) of plus 5 posts for every 1 post over there.

ring 07-16-2009 11:26 AM

We need to be hungrier for it.

Go, appetite, go!

Jetée 07-16-2009 11:27 AM

You work fast.

ring 07-16-2009 11:27 AM

You too.

Jetée 07-16-2009 11:28 AM

Well, good thing I found this then.

ring 07-16-2009 11:29 AM

:hyper:

Jetée 07-16-2009 11:31 AM

I used to really love using that smilie two years ago... though, for whatever reason, I've eschewed most of my instances in applying tiny faces that represent perceived feelings that I am attributing to myself.

ring 07-16-2009 11:33 AM

I will always eschew those annoying acronyms,

I dislike all the lolling and rofling about.

Jetée 07-16-2009 11:34 AM

This is the last one I thought to share; I dislike using acronyms and reading them as well, unless they are somehow "New Deal"-related... those, I love guessing what those letters stand for--agriculture,achitecture?, it's a fun diversion into history.

It's the tip of the motha-f-in' spear! It's sharp, man.

ring 07-16-2009 11:38 AM

Those cookies appear like they could use some dramamine.

That reminds me of a Tweety Bird Cartoon.
"And the boat wocked and wocked, and the putty tat turned gween."

I wonder if I could find that episode.

If you do happen to find the time and proper instigation to do so, I'd greatly appreciate you sharing it here: http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/found-n...oons-more.html

(I've stopped using the :D guy 'cause he looks too 'two-dimensional', but I'm smirking right now.)

ring 07-16-2009 11:43 AM

Yes, I saw you and Gucci's ping-ponging on that thread, well done.

The old green smilie had much sharper well-defined margins.

Jetée 07-16-2009 11:46 AM

'swaht I thought, too, but he looks flattened out now.

Does this show properly, as in not "rexed"?

Very attractive snail on a canine snout.

Jetée 07-16-2009 11:49 AM

And so ends my playlist: final song.

Take My Hand

(Again, not sure if I am linking it properly)

ring 07-16-2009 11:51 AM

ah..Dido.

Jetée 07-16-2009 11:54 AM

I have this unique and weird trait to collect music albums sparingly, and only one album per artist.

I only own her No Angel lp at this juncture, even though I'm quite sure I want both her newly-released album, and the follow-up to the one I was spinning a few moments ago.

ring 07-16-2009 12:04 PM

I didn't realize she has a newish one.

I found the Tweety Cartoon.

It's reposited on your thread.

Jetée 07-16-2009 12:08 PM

I stumbled across her website some months ago, and it said they were releasing it in a few months. So, given that timetable, I think it's out already, or perhaps pending in the fall.

---------- Post added at 04:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:07 PM ----------

Well, if new means (2008), then her Safe Trip Home is still new.

Man, where does the time go?

ring 07-16-2009 12:10 PM

I just realized I haven't broke fast yet this day,
I need to heat more rice and beans,
and decide how to condiment them.

Jetée 07-16-2009 12:14 PM

I still need to catch up on podcasts I missed today, since I decided to sleep in.

I am forlorn to actually know of the rumour's of my fav radio station's format flipping, but now that the hosts are acknowledging it as true, it gets to be abit too real, and I have no idea what will entertain me anymore.

ring 07-16-2009 12:21 PM

I have Domestic duties I cannot put off any longer.

Crunch time.

BadNick 07-16-2009 12:25 PM

I will also try to pick up my pace of posting in this thread.

Jet, maybe try this out: this is my fav radio station and fortunately it's consistently varied enough for me WXPN 88.5 FM :: Public Radio from the University of Pennsylvania

Thanks. The best part about what I loved about WJFK was that it was the first, and now last, best superstation for Talk Radio, with luminaries like Don & Mike, Howard Stern, SportingNews, Rush, The Junkies, etc..

I hope they leave the podcasts up for awhile after, because I might never again be able to hear something like Dysfunctional Family Friday. That all ends this weekend. :(

BadNick 07-16-2009 12:55 PM

are those shows now on satellite radio?

Jetée 07-16-2009 01:00 PM

I don't know. That was just a cursory glance at the top-rated shows of WJFK's 25-30 year history in broadcast.

Right now, well, for the final day tomorrow, it was The (Sports) Junkies in the morning, Big O and Dukes in the mid-days, and The Mike O'Meara Show in the afternoons.

The industry today caused the format to flip, and so, starting on Monday, the last giant in talk radio turns into yet another sports talk radio station.

I was trying to find some class podcasts to share with you, RadNick, but I have to search through over 4,000 articles, and 'm not sure which one of them had the funniest moments.

MexicanOnABike 07-16-2009 02:17 PM

havent had time to post here. heres another one.

Ourcrazymodern? 07-16-2009 02:34 PM

Your spider eyes see the slightest movements.

BadNick 07-17-2009 05:38 AM

Thank you for thinking of sharing. If you find any, just throw them in randomly anywhere we might be.

BadNick 07-17-2009 08:28 AM

usually when I'm longing, I remember to look in this thread.

Jetée 07-17-2009 08:31 AM

Are we not advancing yet?

Who shall conquer, and who will fail to prevail?

ring 07-17-2009 08:46 AM

The journey is destination.

Sometimes regression is tempting.

...any plans for the weekend?

BadNick 07-17-2009 10:57 AM

I'm going on a sail in the Chesapeake, eating more than my share of crabs, so I won't be lengthening this thread for the next couple days. If you hear that pirates got me, don't pay any ransome.
