CANADA DAY!!!
So tomorrow is Canada Day. Canada will celebrate its 138th birthday. I will be checking out the festivities in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, which is purported to have some excellent pyrotechnical displays. I might spend the day golfing, or at the beach, with my wife and daughter.
I love Canada Day. It's always a good time. So, Canadians, where in our home and native land will you be spending your Canada Day? What are your plans?

I just realized it was tomorrow when my wife reminded me that tomorrow is a holiday...
I don't have any solid plans yet but they will likely include going down to the waterfront to take in the fireworks. The rest of the day I am pretty sure we are just going to hang out, maybe go for a bike ride if the smog isn't too thick.

I suppose if you looked for them you could find them but it isn't like we go around giving Happy Canada Day card... do you folks do that on July 4th?

I think I'll go walkies down to the Grand River and take in the fireworks - sit on the bank and watch the show.

will attend the Canada Day Parade that winds its way through East York, and then our street is holding BBQ street party, which will culminate in fireworks. All of my neighbours and I collected $25 each for BBQ food (pulled pork, burgers) and for fireworks ($400 worth and counting).
always a good party that goes on. last year we brought in the sunrise of July 2... |

I will be holding my annual Canada Day BarBQ Celebration here in the DC area with some close friends...Canadians, Americans and others alike.
I've got my red stripe bordered maple leaf blowing over top of the stoop as we speak to mark the location and reason for the festivities. To be honest I am also very much looking forward to watching the 4th of July spectacular from the Canadian Embassy on Monday. It's supposed to be one of the best places in town to catch the goings on. It's good to have an old high school buddy currently with the Canadian Foriegn Service. -bear
