Totally agree Luongo should have been starting, or they should have pulled Brodeur after they saw he was playing the puck like an idiot and trying to be Babe Ruth rather than Johnny Bower. Miller was good when he had to be for sure, made some big key saves, Canada may want to try and pick corners in the tourney at some point rather than shooting for the emblem on his jersey.
They should try to play with a sense of urgency like they did in the final 3 minutes, before Perry glided back to get that puck and Kessler knocked it in, fuckin Perry gave up, started protecting the puck whenhe was 10 feet away from it. I hope Babcock went nuts and threw shit in the room after the game, get their attention and let them know they're embarassing. |
In contrast to the Canadian sentiments above, this morning in work I heard "that was one of the greatest games of hockey I've ever seen" type comments. I was surprised to hear that the U.S. has not beaten the Canadian team in Olympic competition since 1960.
But since you guys did score 3, it belongs in this thread. |
