When I first moved to sunny Australia from rainy Ireland I (obviously enough) brought along most of my Irish speech, turns of phrase, slang etc.

Aparently "tits" is considered a bit vulgar in Australia. Funny really, as we (my male and female friends in Ireland) used to use it all the time.

Now, words like "cans", "mole" and "mongrel" no longer sound strange to me.

I still speak like an Irishman though. And I'll never say "oldie"...
