Video was so funny... I cried!

This was the funniest thing I have seen in a very long time! I don't know who added the screaming soundtrack but it was a great idea!

Wow!
I didn't laugh, but was amazed, for sure.

I thought that was kinda sad.
The sounds they added were amusing, I'll give you that. Stupid hornets... I should go on an anti-hornet crusade to avenge my honeybee bretheren!

Those poor little bees.
Of course I won't think that the next time I'm stung by one of the lil' bastards.

Maybe I'm a freak, but did anyone else see a certain bleak beauty in that?
Perhaps I ought to become a goth or something.

I don't know about you but I would have loved to see the bees win. At least the bees do something for us humans. Without the bees there would sure be a lot less pollination of crops, trees and plants being done.
Also it seems like one hell of a waste to slaughter an entire colony for just a week or two's worth of food. At this rate they could wipe out an entire area of bees in 2-3 months. Wouldn't it be worth it to keep some alive to continue the hive? that way they could at least come back again, no?

Hard8's, why don't you go argue with those hornets some more. I'm sure they will have many interesting POINTS for you to consider.

i saw this a while back. the european bees have no defense but the japanese bees have a crazy system.
the japanese honey bee can withstand a higher temperature before they die. But the difference is only something like 3 or 4 degrees. when a giant hornet scout finds a japanese honey bee hive the bees dogpile the hornet and vibrate to raise the temperature inside the writhing mass of bees. they keep the hornet inside the ball until it dies of heat exposure. it's amazing what 3 degrees can do, eh?

I fucking HATE giant hornets. Goddamned things are big as a cicada. They are the only insects I starve to death if I can catch them. And as a mead brewer, anything that kills honeybees is my sworn foe.

That was one of the weirdest things I've ever seen. Probably the only time I'll ever feel bad for a bee. (I've been stung one too many times )
-T PS: Any way I can download the vid?
