Ahh, I thought TFP couldn't be improved, but apparently I was mistaken.
Bacon is God's revenge on Vegetarians and those who eschew pork because their false deity told them to. No god could be so cruel as to deny to man the goodness that is Bacon.

Thank you, I think this bacon concept is perfect. Who can deny that pig meat is one of the finest delicacies?
Just today I cooked three large ham hocks and a large ham bone (left over from our family ham dinner on Sunday) into a 16 bean soup into which I also chopped multiple vegetables and a sachet of herbs. I hope none of you frown about those other ingredients. |

...I have to add some scrapple to that plate, and, of course, a few more stips of bacon...thick cut and crispy but not too done
Btw, the remnants of frying bacon are another god-given secret pleasure. I collect the bacon drippings in a can that I refrigerate. Then I spread the bacon fat on a piece of nice fresh bread...still warm rye bread is excellent...add some salt, pepper, paprika. Bacon fat makes me happy. |

I was raised on bacon fat fried foods... never butter or veggie oil. Yum!
When mom's supply ran low, she's serve up enough BLTs to feed an army! Grandma would fry fresh bread dough in bacon fat for us as a Saturday afternoon treat. Loved that woman!
