A few sources...
I bought the Betty Crocker Slow Cooker Meals book that they have at most check-out stands at the grocery store and I love it. When I get a second, I will add a recipe from it. I checked online and couldn't find it anywhere, but I did find the following helpful links:

Ingredients:
2 cups water 4 tbsp chili powder 1 tsp garlic powder 1tsp oregano 4 tbsp flour 5 lb lean roast (I used beef, but pork would work) Put all the ingredients in the crock pot and either cook on high for about 5 hours or low for about 8 hours. When it's done mix it all together and the meat should shred on it's own. This is good on tortillas either with or without cheese. Yumm |

In search of crockpot recipies
I like using my crockpot. It makes making a meal so much easier. Have any crockpot recipies you care to share? I can use some new ideas besides just roast, homemade veggie soup and ham and bean soup.

I like to crock pot my pork chops, easier that way
In general you do not want to put your better cuts of meat, you would like a tougher piece of meat, as the slow cooking will break down the sinew. That being said there are ways around that to use better cuts. pork chops Pork chop 1/2 cup diced onion 2 potatos diced 2 carrots diced 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 can of beer sear the out side of the pork chop add all the ingrediants and slow cook for about 6-8 hours the alcohol in the beer helps to break down the proteins, but the searing also keeps the meat from drying out too much. |

Meatballs make a nice appetizer or part of a meal for singles::
* 2 pounds ground beef * 1 cup bread crumbs * 1 teaspoon garlic powder * 2 packages onion soup mix * 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce * 2 eggs Sauce: * 2 onions, chopped * 2 cans tomato paste (12 ounces total) * 2 cloves garlic, minced * 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce * 1/4 cup red wine vinegar * 1/2 cup brown sugar * 1/2 cup sweet pickle relish * 1/2 cup beef broth * 2 teaspoons salt * 2 teaspoons dry mustard Combine first 6 ingredients and mix well. Shape into meatballs and brown in a skillet with 1 tablespoon of oil. Drain on paper towels. Add all sauce ingredients to Crock Pot and stir well. Add meatballs and cook, covered, on low for 5 to 6 hours (high for 2 to 3). Serve from the Crock Pot. Makes about 60 meatballs. __________________________ Busy person? Tip: buy frozen pre-cooked meatballs from the store and your favorite BBQ sauce. Throw them in the crockpot and simmer until ready to eat.

Easy roast beef or pork:
1 roast 1 packet onion soup mix and/or 1-2 cans of cream of mushroom soup. Veggies: carrots and potatoes (or not) Place the roast in the crockpot, pour onion soup mix on top of it. If you are using cream of mushroom soup, pour about half of the can in before you put the roast in, then rub down the roast with the rest of the soup. Turn the crockpot on low/medium and let it sit for most of the day. I do not really care for onions, so I tend to just use cream of mushroom soup. I also like to omit the veggies and add some uncooked rice into the liquid in the bottom of the crockpot when there is sufficient liquid in the bottom of the crockpot. When the rice is done, the roast probably is too.
