Sure, I don't eat meat - but I don't find it revolting. In a starving survival situation I'd go for it if I couldn't make do otherwise.

tripe
brains
EVERYTHING Carl's Jr. has to offer
fast food in general.

without the bologna and gum, i bet you could mix all that up and make a tasty dish.

wooÐs 07-19-2009 11:19 AM

I'll give you a dollar if you do it.

Then you'd eat everything you listed lol.

Punk.of.Ages 07-19-2009 11:55 AM

Okra
Cilantro
Mango

Not to say I won't eat these things. They can be mixed with things and taste fine, but, alone, I find them absolutely awful.

Sue 07-19-2009 12:17 PM

Shellfish, cauliflower, asparagus, cherry-flavored sodas, vanilla-flavored sodas, anchovies, olives, pepperoncini, any nuts *except* cashews, pine nuts, and regular ol' peanuts.

Zeraph 07-19-2009 12:38 PM

Any citrus flavored meat. Like lemon chicken..BARF!

Daniel_ 07-19-2009 12:42 PM

There's not much that I've tried that I would refuse if I was hungry enough, but aubergines would be on my list of "I'd rather not".

Strange Famous 07-19-2009 01:14 PM

rhubarb... cant abide the stuff

jewels 07-19-2009 01:28 PM

There really isn't much that grosses me out, foodwise, other than something called mondongo (a tripe dish) and a Colombian soup with the eyeball of a bull staring up at you. :shudder:

I love grilled mollejas (sweetbreads), which is done divinely on Argentinian and Nicaraguan grills, though. Go figure.

inBOIL 07-19-2009 01:56 PM

wine
coffee
honey mustard (good separately, god-awful when combined)
coconut

LordEden 07-19-2009 02:56 PM

Deviled Eggs (It was years before I could eat eggs, these just make me sick to smell)
Licorice
Hollandaise
Eel (raw)
Plup in OJ
Yager and Tequila
Asparagus

Yes!

These both make me fucking puke, and not because I'm dunk...

Willravel 07-19-2009 03:11 PM

Beets. I can eat almost anything that has ever been consumed by humans, but I just can't find a way to enjoy beets.

I figure it's a matter of time, like learning to like vinaigrette.

Charlatan 07-19-2009 04:14 PM

Will... have you tried roasted beets? They are much better than the usual way they are served.

As for what I don't like... when I was a kid, I wouldn't eat any vegetables. The only veg that I would deign to eat were peas, corn and potatoes. I was very regimented about it.

Now there isn't a thing I won't eat at least once.

If I had to really put my foot down and say, I don't want to eat something it would be most processed baked goods. They just taste gross. I'd rather take the time to bake fresh cookies and cakes. And I just don't get the appeal of Red Bull.

wooÐs 07-23-2009 01:32 PM

beef jerky

It always looks so good in the package. Yet every time I decide to try some, which is maybe once / year, it goes in the garbage.

Plan9 07-23-2009 01:34 PM

Lobsters scare the shit out of me. They're aliens! So much that I've never actually tasted the flesh of the beast.

wooÐs 07-23-2009 01:49 PM

Man up and put a bib on.

Lobster is fantastic and you must try it!

forseti-6 07-23-2009 06:20 PM

Pretty much most fast foods (except for Zaxbys or Wendy's baked potatoes). If I'm extremely hungry, I'll eat it, but it's just so unhealthy. I especially think Taco Bell, McDonalds and Burger King are gross.
Ginger
Wasabi
Hard mint candies
Gum
I guess that's really it.

Charlatan 07-23-2009 08:13 PM

Squeeb... I noticed you don't like brains.

You, of all people, should really try brains and eggs. I know you would like it.

Scrambled Eggs With Calf's Brains
Ingredients
* 12 eggs, beaten
* 1 calf's brain
* 1 qt. boiling, salted water
* 3 tablespoons butter
* Seasonings to taste

Instructions
1. Boil the calf's brain in salted water for about 15 minutes.
2. Remove from water and cut in small pieces. Season.
3. Scramble the meat with the eggs in butter.

You were in the military and don't like hard candy and gum? Fuck, that must have sucked. And fast food is like a "right before the field" staple for most guys.

I agree these things are revolting I hate that tv show where the guy goes around the world and finds the worst food to eat. EWWWWWWWW

Plan9 07-23-2009 09:34 PM

Grubs are tasty if you flash fry them with peanut oil. I don't mind eating them live, though. They're like protein noodles.

Starkizzer 07-23-2009 09:58 PM

Traditional foods:
Beets, pickled and otherwise
Turnips
Liver
Very strong alcoholic drinks
Energy drinks

Can't really think of any others

Non-traditional foods
Well seeing as I have not tried any I can't say that any revolt me but there are some that I would be very hesitant to try...like 100yr eggs.

dippin 07-23-2009 10:20 PM

jello, any kind...

I had a rare disease (Kawasaki disease) as a kid that was extremely uncomfortable for a few weeks, and all I was able to eat was Jello, so now eating jello brings back the memories of how I felt during those weeks.

Plan9 07-23-2009 10:30 PM

Mayonnaise.

Seriously. It's the curse of the white man. It doesn't belong on my sandwiches. No! Get it away from me. It's gross. It's like the semen of an obese ogre that subsists only on raw eggs and Fritos.

Like totally. How could I forget?

I can eat it as part of a tuna or potato salad or cole slaw, but keep it away from everything else!

wooÐs 07-24-2009 05:00 AM

I used to know someone who would dip her McDonald's fries in mayo. I couldn't watch her fat ass eat it.

LordEden 07-24-2009 06:18 AM

The Indians and Jamaicans I worked with on the boat dipped their fries in mayo. It curled my stomach. My stepdad puts 1000 island dressing on his burrito at the local american/mex place, I think that's the worse thing I've ever seen an American do.

I like it and all at times, but RANCH. It's like LIFEBLOOD for southerns.

Steak? Can I get some ranch?
Chicken? Can I get some ranch?
Salad? Can I get some ranch?
Veal? Can I get some ranch? (I saw this after I made a beautiful Veal Napoleon w/ a bourbon demi-glaze... I almost slapped the customer)
Fried Food? Can I get some ranch?
BBQ? Can I get some ranch?

I've seen someone put ranch on their PORK FRIED RICE. What. The. Fuck.

They're actually aquatic cockroaches.

allaboutmusic 07-24-2009 08:04 AM

Okra / ladies' fingers. Slimy and gooey and I can't stand them!

Charlatan 07-24-2009 03:08 PM

Mayo on fries is awesome. You people sure are picky eaters.

My vices were chain smoking and beef jerky. Frankly I used to eat fast food a lot (BK), but after I got out, I just couldn't eat it any more. I'm not nearly as physical and active as I used to be.

The trick is to save a woman from being attacked by them, and then as your final act of domination over the creature you eat it.

Ready? GO!

Ratman 07-25-2009 06:10 AM

What's up with that lobster?! It's like Mr. America body with a .5 inch dick! No claws! If I saw this coming I'd laugh so hard I'd wet my pants! Then I'd eat it, of course. But seriously, what's up with those claws?!!?!?!

OBTW, I cannot abide natto. I've tried. I'm a no-go on natto. Those who know it, either you like it or not. If you don't know it, my advice is DO NOT SEEK IT OUT!!! Everything esle is pretty much fair game.

Definitely, one of the nicest things Ive ever had (althouh I havent eaten it often as its pricey)

DaniGirl 07-25-2009 07:02 AM

Tea

little_tippler 07-25-2009 07:31 AM

brussels sprouts
liver
kidney
hooves, guts, brains, eyes, and all that stuff
pineapple juice (I used to be able to drink it but when I used it as the base for some medicine I had to drink in 4 litres of liquid in a day...I could never stomach it again)
kaki fruit
raw octopus or squid
oysters

I guess I'm not too picky. Mayo on fries tastes good people...you're obviously eating the wrong kind of mayo :p
