What is the spanish word for PROOF-ING (baking)?
I have a project and I need to describe the process in which dough is left to rise or "proof". If any spanish speakers out there know the spanish word for "proof" that would be awesome.
Gracias.

According to some of the women at my daughter's school the most appropriate word would be "creciendo."
These women are both from Spanish speaking countries. My daughter's school is a Spanish immersion school (they don't speak English to the kids). I still have not heard back from the Spanish professor. Last edited by vanblah; 03-09-2007 at 11:35 PM.. |

I don't know if there is any exact word relating to cooking, but I see no reason why this would not be perfectly acceptable as levantar means 'to rise/raise/lift'

Thanks for all of your help. It all depends on the dialect also. The other translation I found is to "Reposar" as in aged. I'm going to use the three versions just in case.
Seriously Thank You all very much.
