Housewarming Denver?
A long time ago, when there were actually forums dedicated to regions, I was contemplating a move to the greater Denver area, well it happened. We bought a new (from the ground up) house in Aurora, just off the e-470 & Smoky Hill Rd. We just moved in 2 weeks ago and the unpacking continues.
I'd like to see if there is any interest in a housewarming get-together? I'd love to do a barbecue, (ribs, ribs and mo' ribs) but the weather can be... unpredictable in the Denver basin. Anyway, this is not an official invite just yet, I'm testing the waters to see if there is any interest. If so, then we can set a date.

I'm on the western slope, but about once a month I find myself on the Front Range. I'd be game for swinging by with some Bristol brews, a bottle of whiskey and some grilling food. Don't plan around me though; I have this horrible feeling that once ski season is in full swing I will become completely unreliable.

Thanks! I did hit up the local Six Flags (Elitch Gardens) here in Denver, which is about the same size as Enchanted Village in WA. Timberhawk is a far better ride than anthing at Elitch Gardens. There is even talk about Six Flags selling off that property due to its prime downtown location and the fact that Six Flags has not been profitable for a while now. I hope not, because even though the local coasters are less than perfect, they are better than nothing.
For everyone else, I'll keep checking this topic for those interested.

Food and booze are always good.
I know a few places around town to find such things. I get off at 6 everyday and my days off are spent with my girlfriend. We could meet somewhere downtown...

Downtown is a bit of a drive for me, but not out of the question. I'm more fimaliar with the South-East quadrant.
We went to The Taste of Colorado, and that was downtown. We liked the area quite a bit, SO much more approachable than L.A.

Let's see, is that where the 25 meets the 470? If so, yeah, that would be perfect. We're off the e-470 at Smoky Hill, so that's not too far at all. I think that's where we got our home theatre system. (Ultimate Electronics)
We have been to Rock Bottom brewhouse/restaraunt and enjoyed that quite a bit.
