NCIS (discussion thread)
I started watching this last year to add to all the CSI craze and i thought it was really good. Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly are awesome. Last years cliffhanger was amazing, although i really liked Kate. But with Lauren Holly in the picture, how can you complain. I saw the season premiere and thought it was great and im looking forward to this all season.
Anyway, i had school last night and taped it. Something got messed up and i taped the wrong channel. Im really pissed that i missed it. Can anyone give me a summary of what happened. |

Summary:
Spoiler: When the last episode ended, ducky was walking towards the car with Ari in it. Ducky got into his car and they talked (about mainly inconsequential stuff), it turned out Ducky was just a diversion. While Ducky was doing that, Tony was trailing the new agent who is Ari's contact (and was trying to get Ari outta the country). Tony saw her give another person money and Ari's fake passport. He told Gibbs, who followed this new girl w/ the passport. On his way he ran into Ducky, and the new girl slipped away (with Ari in the process). Ducky told Gibbs that Ari swears he is innocent, but he knows that Gibbs will never believe it and that one of them (Gibbs or Ari) must die. By now, the people upstairs (whoever is using Ari/whoever the new agent works for) are getting nervous, so they (and this 'director' dude curiously has the same last name as the new agent) demand that the new agent (god I wish I could remember her name right now) give Gibbs and the others all the help she can. Using the new agent's information, Gibs and his new director (the woman he had an affair with) set up a stakeout at the place Ari was hiding out. A sniper tries to take out the new director, but they kill him. The sniper is using the same gun used to kill Kate. The new director thinks the case is solved (dead sniper, same gun, no other evidence that ari was involved), but Gibbs isn't too sure. After some questioning and discussion, Gibbs convinces her to set up a trap to prove if Ari is really the one who killed Kate/tried to kill Abby. If Ari shows up, he really killed Kate/was out to kill the others (and eventually Gibbs). If he doesn't show up, then it really was someone else who shot Kate, and Ari is innocent (in this case). Sure enough, Ari shows up to the trap, claiming he knows it's a trap. He then goes into detail about why he killed Kate/tried to kill Abby. He wants to cause pain to Gibbs because Gibbs reminds Ari of his father. Ari's father trained Ari to be mole in the terrorist cells, but he admits he's more of a mole for the bad guys, and that he despises his father. Just as Ari is about to kill Gibbs... the new agent comes out of hiding and shoots him once in the head. The new agent is in tears.. Ari was her half brother, and the 'director' dude that her and Ari worked for was their father. Finally, in the last few scenes, Tony and Proby say their final goodbyes to Kate in the mourge, and then everyone has a final memory of her at her funeral (as they lay a rose on the casket). That said, TV shows (although illegal, I believe) can be found on the Bittorrent networks (among other places). If CBS doesn't replay it, it may be an option... Overall, I thought it was a good conclusion to the 3-episode saga. Spoiler: Making the new agent shoot her contact -- and her half brother -- was a great way to prove she's part of the NCIS team. Proby and Abby got close again this episode. I wonder if they're going to spark up anything between those two. It sort of makes sense. Tony -> New Girl Proby -> Abby Gibbs -> New Director |

So I finally saw the finale last night, it was ok, but it wasnt a jaw dropping cliffhanger like last years death of Kate - that left me completely stunned.
I don't believe for a minute that Gibbs has left the show, what say you?

I don't think he's left either. I think we'll hear Dinozzo swear he's the guy that should take the trip to Mexico to get Gibbs back hehe.
I really really hope they haven't gotten rid of Gibbs. Losing Kate was bad enough... That said, it was a good finale. I like how he snapped at the higher-ups who were allowing it all to happen. |
