also, if they didn't merge... that would make the challenges one-on-one, which means koror could consistently put steph up against tom and another of their strongest competitors... hardly fair. finally, steph would be over at ulong's camp completely alone for days and days... meaning she'd be doing everything from fishing, getting water, breaking coconuts, cutting wood, keeping the fire going... there's no way they can expect her to do that all by herself for more than a day or two. but hey, they certainly have the power to make whatever rules they want... so it could happen. i just think it would be completely unfair to expect one person to go against an entire tribe even for just an episode... so i say they merge. |

But I was thinking the same thing about how did she get back. I'm hoping one of the camera men puts down the camera for a bit and helps paddle. Don't know about you, but I don't think those outriggers paddle well with one person. I've tried it on a canoe before and it's a pain in the tail. |

I could see her getting a big of assistance, but I hardly doubt they are ferried around in speedboats and SUV's. |
I could care less if they are helped out. It's entertaining.

Question: Is there a spoilers page anywhere on the internet that talks about 'Survivor: Behind The Camera', or something like that. I'm sure it would be a lot of speculation and/or lies, but I would LOVE to hear/ read about some of the stuff that goes on on Survivor when the Camera shuts off. I would love to see actually how civilized it actually is. I would love to see pictures of the girls putting the Crest WhiteStrips on in Probst's trailer. I would like to see some outtakes or bloopers. Call me skeptical, but I just think there's more that's NOT shown on Survivor than there is shown.

Tom is a flat-out moron.
Last night when he won the first individual immunity he should have given it to Stephanie. If he didn't plan on voting her out the first night, by giving it to her he would have secured her as part of his tribe and been able to keep her in his back pocket for the remainder of the game. There is no way he was at ANY risk and therefore should have used his bargining chip to guarantee himself a 5 person alliance. Moron. |
Yeah, obviously there's a lot more going on than they show. All of the contestants and crew have to sign a non-disclosure agreement stating that they won't talk about anything that goes on behind the scenes for a certain period of time--maybe 5 or 10 years?--after the show airs. In the contestants' contracts, it's a 5 million dollar forfeiture for violating the contract.
Now, that doesn't mean there isn't anything like that around, but if there is, it would most likely be anonymous, and thus, suspect. |
Coby got blindsided!!!!
did you see how shocked Janu was when it wasnt her? |
Coby committed Survivor suicide. He was asking to get voted off. He seemed happy to be voted off.
If I were Tom, I would not have given up immunity. It would be a very cocky move. Has anyone ever given up individual immunity in all the seasons of survivor? |
Quote:
Oh cause Tom hasn't been cocky so far? C'mon, if he's given the necklace to Steph he would have had her, Ian, Gregg and his girlfriend and that other chick kissing his ass all the way to the final 3. |
Yes they did sapiens Burton gave up his immunity to Rupert on Pearl Island
|
I didn't think of it last night, but reading the idea here, of tom giving up immunity to Steph, it would have been a great play.
Thanks for listening. |
I am so glad Coby is gone. One more bitchy quote from him would have made me turn off the TV. And what's with Katie and the only vote for Janu. That chick might be clueless...
Anyways, it's a whole new show now, I love it. The fact that Coby told Steph about Greg's plan to jump over could now hurt Greg pretty bad. I hope she tells Tom and/or Ian. Can't wait for next week! |
Yeah, did you see that scenes from next week? Funky. Definetely not missing next week's show.
|
I'm glad Janu threw herself under the bus, whether it was for Stephanie or not (I think it was for the little voices in her skinny head).
You had to have mixed feelings for Stephanie. Yes, she had a point about how unfair it would be to get voted off when she wants to be there so bad while someone else could care less, but on the other hand, the person who wins this game doesn't really deserve it half of the time (Vecepia, Sonya, Jenna, Tina) |
MALE - 3
FEMALE - 4 UNDER 30 - 4 OVER 30 - 3 CALIFORNIA - 2 OHIO - 1 PENNSYLVANIA - 1 FLORIDA - 1 ILLINOIS - 1 NEW YORK - 1 If the previews are accurate and the ladies really do form a female alliance, I think it would be tremendously ironic that the women of Survivor 10 would be able to accomplish the thing that the bitches from Survivor 9 were religiously devoted to, but couldn't pull off. |

You are so right that lots of people who win don't deserve it. You forgot that biggest undeserving winner of the history of the show - AMBER. She did nothing. Less than nothing. I love Steph though. She's wicked. And she is so hot. She's such a hard worker. My wife said she'd marry Steph if she was a man. |

and its not like its the first time anybody has ever quit either.

And remind me never to go to the Tropicana in Vegas if their showgirls look like Janu, because even "cleaned up", she's down right scary. http://wwwimage.cbsnews.com/images/2...age690138x.jpg |
My favorite part about the show this week was Probst pretty much talking her in to leaving. I think he wanted Steph to make it longer. Usually Probst flips when people want to leave this time he was totally leading her. And twisting her words until she finally said, yup, I want to leave so Steph can stay. It was perfect.
And I totally disagree with people saying that people that win don't deserve it. Take Tina for example. Colby was the man, won lots of challenges, strong, should have won the whole thing. But he brought Tina with him. Which makes him the dumbest survivor contestant ever to play. If he would have just brought the jerk Chef (Keith) with him, he would have won hands down. He, by far made the worst decision a contestant ever made. I thought the guy was great too, hoping he'd win it the whole time, and when it was down to 3 I knew he would, until he said he was keeping Tina. I just shook my head and said, you just lost 900k. And he did... |
a buddy at work pointed out this article:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7603562 interesting... my take on the TC was that jeff pretty much baited her into quitting, but Janu claims that wasn't the case. another article: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7602774/ |
I think in the end it makes Stephanie an even bigger target, especially if she can't mobilize all the other females, ( a seemingly difficult task) or win immunity ( something Steph needs to do badly but is in tough vs. 108 Truck guy)
But man is she a tough cookie. When's that bra gonna fall off? |

As for the whole thing with Janu being baited into quitting. I think Jeff gets a little angry when someone wants to quit. I think he has a lot of pride in this show. I was glad to see Steph stick around. Not only because im from Jersey too, but she's a great player and adds a lot to the show.
It kinda sucked this week. I had it spoiled for me. Some Presidential special report came on and Survivor was on an hour later. So the second commercial into the show and an 11 oclock news ad comes up saying, "Later, we'll have a talk with Steph from Survivor." That totally sucked. I bet someone gets sued over that. I really hated to see her go, i was hoping Tom would set something up for her. So its just Koror now and Tom is the main target. He will regret not keeping Steph. |
Caryn pissed me off last week. I hate players that are afriad to take things into their own hands. Steph had a great idea for the women to pick off the men. The three women would have been guaranteed the final four but Caryn believed Tom's line of crap.
Here is a clue: If there are 7 players and someone says "we have a group of 5, with you we'd have a group of 6" YOU are the next target and you need to band with the person getting voted off with this vote. Caryn, Steph, and any two others. That's all it would have taken. |
Quote:
I think Katie is gone next, with Caryn taking her place. It really is going to get interesting though because its all Koror now, and the Tom-Ian-Katie--Greg-Greg's girl alliance is pretty much done with. |

Any pics of Steph?
|
Well, Katie smartened up and voted on the winning side (as I said she should). Time to watch Jen scramble this week. Talk about needing immunity!
Too bad I fell asleep and missed the first half of the show. Damn you CBS Producers and your "never show repeats of Survivor" rules! |

I love my timeshifting service - if I miss the east coast feed, then I can watch it on a west coast feed 2 hours later. TiVo is also good :) Otherwise was a decent episode - I thought that Ian telling Katie might seriously backfire, but thankfully it didnt. He pissed me off since he was the ringleader of Steph going home. The look on the Juries face as the vote went down was hillarious. |
I'm so glad Gregg was gone.

I won't spoil anything from tonight, but I must say:
BEST EPISODE EVER. No, seriously, this was a hella-good episode that really took me by surprise with a lot of what happened. These people are playing the game HARD! |
