Homophobic much? I sincerely doubt she will be any kind of star anymore, he holds his daughter in WAY to high reguard.

I believe the fact that he used to be a Baptist minister explains a lot.

But seeing as Ashlee can't do live performances and doesn't look nearly as good as Jessica, and doesn't have a trademark characteristic like Jessica's ditziness, she is going to fade into obscurity fairly soon, right now she's just banking on Jessica's success.

LoL, I was laughing my ass off when I read that as well. She will fade away and nobody would even remember she existed. The poor sap can't even sing, what makes her think she can act.....man, some attention whores just try way too hard to be famous....pathetic.

I've seen her act. She's pretty bad. And believe it or not she's been in one movie you've ALL seen. Remember "The HOT Chick" starring Rob Schnieder? Remember the scene where Lisa's best friends ex spills his drink all over his prom date? That prom date was none other than Ashlee Simpson. Stunning performance too I might add. She really looked like she had a severe distaste for punch being poured down her cleavage. Bravo!

jessica is indeed scary as hell, i saw one of those tabloids the other day and it said something on the lines of "They lost 20lbs see how you can too!" and they had a picture of jessica, she looked like calista flockheart, i had a huge disgusted face for a minute and then i looked up and the grocery line/ checker outer person were all looking at me weird.
Their dad being an ex minister explains a lot on how they are as people though heh, probably rules both their lives.

If you want to see her acting, just check out old episodes of 7th Heaven on the WB. Horrible, granted, all the acting on that show is horrible.

But I don't understand all of your dislike of her dad's viewpoint. The guy was a baptist minister until his daughters made him very wealthy. Now he's her manager and he made a call to try and better her career. I'm not saying it was the right call but give the guy a break. Just because his viewpoint on homosexuality differs from yours means you would be a better manager. Quotes like "Fuck uberchristians" are hateful, and quite sad really.

There's no need to be respectful of other peoples' viewpoints when they're uberchristian views. They aren't people like you and I.

while i can understand his viewpoint, he seems misguided. for one, his daughter's a secular artist... but i digress.

the last person to play a homosexual in their first movie that i can remember was will smith. seems like he made it kinda big!

considering the movies they've been in, it wouldn't be hard to have more depth than either of those two actresses (not taking away from their successful movies, but their movies are hardly "deep")!

the thing most likely to keep her from "breaking into hollywood" will be her father making moves like this, her declining popularity (assuming she was "popular" at one point), and her seeming lack of skills. but then again, talent isn't necessarily necessary to succeed in hollywood either.

Ashlee is just riding behind Jessica's short bandwagon, which people are getting tired of. Uberchristian Dad is making bank on both of them. This is probably just a way to keep them in the headlines for a bit longer. Their 15 minutes will surely be up soon enough.

he has his morals a little mixed up. im not a fan of homosexuals either but why stop one daughter from portraying one, but then let your other daughter look like a bar fly. if he is an uberchristian then he shouldnt pick and choose his moral battles, just take them all on.
