Live Action EVANGELION TV Show in the Works
Fans of Evangelion will probably be divided on this one, half of you will say, "Crap, they can't make a Live-Action version!!!" and half will say "Shit dog! Dis is total bombage!!" in a positive manner.
I for one am very happy with the news that Evangelion is making to live-action, will be great to see the spectacular CG that will undoubtably used on the robots (first time methinks, at least on this scale). Anyway, read the following article.... Quote:

Tread lightly.
They need some real sex appeal in this to make me like it. As much as I respect the anime series, I kept watching it till the end because Asuka is absolutely awesome and I wouldn't have her any other way. Sexy Asuka PLEASE

how will they condense the entire series into a 2 hour movie without losing a bunch of the good stuff that eva fans love?
Sometime, some medium (like ANIME) should not cross over (to Live-Action) Unless they plan on doing a multifilm story arch.... |

yes sexy 14 year olds...
hmmm... maybe if it's filmed of US shores.. I hope they can condense theentire series into a 2 hour movie well. Heck.. even in 26+2 OVA's it didnt make that much sense. A lot of the Misato stuff and Shinji's whining could easily be cut out. |

Since when did US movie/TV use actors of the age they're portraying? The people on Dawsons Creek are in their late thirties! lol, and if they decide to keep the age in context with the story they'll most likely not mention it in words.

Asuka is teh hotsex. She don't look like no 14-year-old to me I have the box set and the two movies, and I'm still confused. I've done tons of research and read what other people think its about... I'd say I have about 70% of the story down pat. Great anime. Yet to see any other as confusing yet as pleasing to watch. I know it's cliché, but NGE is by far my favorite anime series
Oh yeah, I don't think this live action idea will turn out well, but God (or Adam, or Lilith... or Shinji?) knows we're all gonna storm to go see it if/when it ever comes to US shores even if it turns out crappy

OK I wanted to know more about this live action Evangelion movie. I think they can make a good movie about the beginning of Evangelion, unless they want to do a whole lot of flashbacks in the movie... And I hope that the ending would be changed. If the original creator of the anime got death threats IN JAPAN over it, people will die over here in America over it. And I found some concept art, it's eh-ish at best because one thing I liked about the anime robots is that they looked like robots and not these bio-mechanoid things. Hesitation to make this would be from it becoming a CGI-crapfest. If the movie really wants some hep with the machines not being total ruins, they need to watch my childhood favorite Robot Jox.
