Fans of Evangelion will probably be divided on this one, half of you will say, "Crap, they can't make a Live-Action version!!!" and half will say "Shit dog! Dis is total bombage!!" in a positive manner.
I for one am very happy with the news that Evangelion is making to live-action, will be great to see the spectacular CG that will undoubtably used on the robots (first time methinks, at least on this scale).
Anyway, read the following article....

Weta Aboard Neon Genesis Evangelion Live-Action Pic

Variety says a live-action film based on hit Japanese animated TV series Neon Genesis Evangelion is in the works. The project will mark a collaboration between ADV Films, a producer-distributor of Japanese toons in North America, Nippon producer Gainax and Peter Jackson's New Zealand-based Weta Workshop, whose f/x wizardry was utilized in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy.
ADV Films prez-CEO John Ledford said, "The three main players here represent something of a dream team for a project like this. Between the quality and significance of Gainax, Weta's industry-leading skill in visual effects and our expertise in the marketing and promotion of anime and anime-related content, this project is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."
While Ledford said the film is in early development, he foreshadowed an "aggressive timetable."
