The Forgotten

The trailer really freaked me the first time I saw it... not knowing why it was those people were dissapearing (was she crazy? a dream?..) though, I wonder if they give too much away. I'd suggest not watching more than 2/3rd of the way in. anyway, looks like it'll be a good movie. hope the preview isn't better than the movie.. |

I would not recommend this film. I think they couldn't decide on how to end it so they just stopped the film. And there was far too much of expecting the audience to just accept, without asking why and how......such as going to a house in the daylight, walking inside the house and suddenly it is night. "they" think the audience is stupid......but "we" are not. But I paid to see this film, so maybe I am.
Scale of 1-10...............I give it 1.5 (and the .5 is for the car crash)

Stupid, stupid, stupid film. Stupid film.
Normally, I get pissed at the idiotic kids around me who always laugh at the dramatic scenes in a movie. However, as this movie "progressed," I realized that the moronic kids had it right this time; this movie was laughable. I'd also give the movie 1.5 stars (agree that the car crash was cool), but I'd give 8 stars to the security guard in the theatre who ejected an entire section for being too rowdy. His drama was far better than the film. Stupid, stupid film.

I thought it was great! The "holy shit" factor was extremely high... there were many scenes that made the majority of the audience gasp, jump, or scream outright. Even I jumped in my seat a few times, and I never jump.
True, there were some awkward scenes that were somewhat laughable, but the movie was overall very entertaining. And if you're afraid of aliens, this will scare the shit out of you. |

Well, I'd have to agree... the previews give far too much away. Every time someone got sucked up into the sky I recognized the scene from the previews, so I wasn't at all impressed.
I'll have to agree with a 1.5 for this movie, but that car accident earned most of that. Such a pity that this was such a poor movie, I really like that actress. I'll agree with some of the previous sentiments, though - they certainly think the audience was idiotic. My biggest, concern, however, is that the entire premise of the movie was.... avoided? Anyway, waste of time and money, in my opinion... but then again, what do I know Edit: Bah, for whatever reason I can't get the spoiler tags to work... That was a bit more in depth

I read somewhere where this movie could easily of been a poor episode or even a rejected episode of X-Files.
I guess I'll wait for it to come out on DVD.
