I loved when JD was paying that kid Ralphie to puke everywhere so the janitor had to clean it up.
Especially when he puked in the elevator that Kelso was in |
I'm right there with ya quadro2000, I was too saddened, by seeing MJF fight his disease to do his job, for most of the show to really find it all that funny. I did find it interesting that they made his character have OCD so that there would be a plausible story line explanation for all of the ticks and twitches.
|
I missed the start the season. Good show I will have to start setting the old VCR again.

I think having his character suffer from OCD was a great match, I found the character to be quite entertaining. I also thought that his timing was still bang on. He did talk pretty fast, but I didn't have any trouble understanding him. And as for his age, meh, I don't think he looks a day over 43. ;) I think it's great that he came back to tv. It shows that he's fighting Parkinson's and he's not willing to just give up. He's done so much for the Parkinson's community and has been a great spokesman for them. It's sad that this has happened to him and everyone else affected by it, but I was proud of him (for lack of a better word) for getting out there and doing this show. Huge props to MJF, he's a fighter and in my opinion still a great actor. |
I agree, having MJF's character have OCD was a perfect match. I definately did find it depressing though, especially at the end. I saw him for the character he was struggling with his OCD but also as the person he is dealing with his disease. Gawd, and that coldplay song they played made it even more sad. :(
|
Great opinions. I can see where you both are coming from. I did see the parallels between his character and what he's going through in real life. I guess I just have certain ideas/images in my head when thinking of MJF, and it was just sad to see he's not exactly what I remembered.
Don't get me wrong, I have great respect for him in so many ways - I've read his book, I contribute to his foundation - it just was sad. Lucidity...I downloaded the Coldplay song right after that episode. :( Next week it seems he hooks up with Elliott. |

Anyway, I'm looking forward to next weeks show. |

Ya, I thought it was a good one as well. I think he'd be a good addition to the show as an occasional apperance or something like that.
|
Is anyone else glad Heather Graham is gone... Her character annoyed the crap out of me. Even still, I think this is so far a great season, although I think the show peaked last year. I am still amazed that not allot of people know about this show. Along with Arrested Development, it is the best comedy on TV. Has anyone heard when this show is due to hit syndication?
|
I am still waiting for DVD.
|
They have a real touch for weaving a bunch of unrelated plots and having them come together in the end.
|
I'm glad to have found the Scrubs fan club. I've been watching this show every week since the beginning. It the smartest and funniest thing on. Every week I will laugh out loud at least five times, and almost always am tearing up at the end. That's a damn good sitcom if it can be hysterical and thoughtful and emotional all at the same time.
If you haven't watched this show, you have to watch it. Alright, you don't really have to. There's really no way I can enforce this command. So, I'll just leave it at I strongly encourage you to.......... or else :D |
Something Scrubs does really well is making every single scene funny on it's own. You can walk in in the middle of the show and have no idea what has been going on and it's still funny.
|
The quotes are almost as good as the Simpsons'
"Dude, my brother in law is an evil genius!" "Four hours duct-taped in a morgue drawer don't piss of the janitors end of story." "Damn these twisty-bottoms! We need more clicky-tops!" |
tell me when it goes on dvd and i'll pick it up.
|
easily my favorite show on tv today. I'd love to see a DVD for it as well, but unfortunately I wouldn't hold my breath waiting. the people behind this show are the same behind ER, who, despite having numerous successful seasons, only has seasons 1 and 2 (and I think possibly 3) out on DVD. though, with the quickly growing trend of releasing tv shows on DVD, perhaps they'll get on board and make fans of this show happy.
|
I recently discovered this one, and because you cant find it anywhere, promptly (*gasp*) downloaded a bunch of them with bittorrent. Awesome little show--quite funny, and much better than most of the junk on TV.
|
Hell yeah, the funniest show on tv imo. Its one of the few on my tivo season pass

I have all of season 1 and 2 on my computer, if you're interested in seeing more. and it's definitely better than about 99% of the shows on TV today. it's a very well-rounded, witty, intelligent and quirky show. I actually broke off a somewhat budding relationship after the girl told me she thought the show was absolutely awful and really poorly done. I figured why waste my time with someone who obviously doesn't have even a decent sense of humor, you know? |
I agree, Scrubs is an awesome shoe. In the UK, it disappeared after the end of season two where Dr Cox biffs Doctor Kelso. I am curently downloading season 4 and must say that I am still LOVING it. I also managed toget a couple of season 3 episodes and will continue to do so. I think Heather Grahams' character was awesome, she is so hot. I hoped she'd stay longer. Anyway, good to know it is still really popular.
|
I love the hell out of this show and sing the praises to all who will listen.
It also has the best theme song" I can't do this all on my own. No, i know I'm no Superman, I'm no Superman! " That's it. Twisty bottoms suck! Clicky tops are the only way to go :) |
Still one of my favorite shows. I love Turk & JD's friendship. The first episode of the season with Turk and Carla coming back from their honeymoon is one of my all-time favorite scenes. Great writing, and the actors are brilliant!
I can't wait for the DVD... |
The episode where JD had the opera singer in his head, advising him when he had made a mistake made me laugh so hard I could taste whatever I had in my mouth at the time in the back of my throat for a whole day.
I think it was raspberry soda. |
I would also like to add my "this show rocks" to this thread. I started watching it sporadically in the last 6 months, but am now consciously making it a part of my Tuesday nights, and I'm taping it when I'm out. I love it's nonsensical, totally out there humour. I've missed that kind of humour on network TV. I do NOT, NOT laugh out loud at much that's on TV these days, (with the exception of a good clip on America's Funniest Video's or Just For Laugh's Gags, and of course, Kids In The Hall reruns) so it's nice to have a show on that's laugh worthy. Kudos to this show!
|
Yeah I love this show. It is one of the only things I taped when my VCR was still around now my DVR saves it for me.
|
It's a great show, although I'm curious what the cliffhanger will be. I hope it's not "Oh man I slept with Elliot... again". Well.. JD would be saying that. I wouldn't mind sleeping with Elliot... ;)

The writers were talking about how they were done with the J.D./Elliot love story for a while because they didn't want to beat it to death so early in the show's life. Plus, they've proven to be capable of producing quality beyond the regular standards on network sitcoms so I expect something good. My only complaint on Tuesdays now is that Scrubs comes on at the same time as House, M.D., which is quickly becoming one of my favorite shows. So to have two shows that I absolutely love on at the same time is just cruel and unusual punishment and I'd appreciate if the networks could work that out for next season. |

of course. plus, I'm sure Zach wants to have as many hot guest stars to come in and play his love interests, heh. I can't wait until the DVD comes out. |
Best comedy show coming out of america at the moment, (apart from of course the simpsons). Loved this show so much when i first saw it, but dissapeared to sky tv after the first season, but i'm still hopeful it will return to british season once sky have milked it for all it's worth.
|
thought i'd bump this as its now into its 6th season i believe.
I just got through watching every episode from season 1-5 and am starting on season 6 tomorrow I think the 1st 2 seasons were the best so far but all of them are great and have a ton of laughs and life lessons. I like how they all have a little moral reflection at the end. It's like Jerry Springer without all the trailer transvestites :p |
season 6 is over now. we're going in 7 after the summer or in jan 2008. 5 was a great season and 6 started off very shitty and picked up towards the end.
I can't wait to see how season 7 will turn out. It's supposed to be the final season too. |
I watch an episode of Scrubs a day, at least. I usually catch it in the mornings or evenings on Comedy Central. I think my record for episodes per day on regular television (not a marathon) is 8 episodes (episodes at 11, 7, and 10 on Comedy Central, 5:30 on my local Fox affiliate, 9pm for the new episode on NBC). My marathon record is...well, who knows. I've watched a whole lot of Scrubs.
I love Dr. Cox. |
How did i miss this thread?
Scrubs = Stargate 'Nuff said. |
yeah dr cox is my hero, and I think its strange that I think out of all the girls on that show i'm attracted to the "supposedly" oldest one. Jordan. I dunno :)

the band consists of TED(the bald guy) and a few other guys from the hospital i think...
Ted is the hospital lawyer so he's mostly always there. the band is there half the time but for some episodes, they're very important(they play more than 1 song). Quote:

SCRUBS IS BACK!
I saw the Season 7 premier last night, and I couldn't stop smiling and laughing. The show just never loses its edge. With a lot on my plate lately, Scrubs gave me a lot of needed happiness last night. :) The bittersweet moment came just before watching the episode when I read that this is definitely the last season of the show... but really, I'm kind of ok with that. There comes a time when the story just needs to end... and I think they've told such a great story over the years that I'll be satisfied when it finally draws to a close. 7 years is a damn good run by any standard. |
I was really surprised at how they started the 1st episode this season... It's almost like the writers completely decided against where they were going to go with the kiss, at the last moment... It really didn't flow too well imo.
With that said, I'm glad to have the show back on. |
