He seems like such a nice guy, that when he finds out, he'd either laugh and think it was funny, or feel betrayed... emo style! Maybe they'll give him a bunch of money at the end for being a good sport anyway. Or maybe he's an actor, and the OTHER actors don't know about it, and that's the big suprise ending!! Or maybe I'm an actor and you're Joe... Dun dun dunnnn

I am not a reality guy, but this anti-reality show is just about the funniest thing I've ever seen. Between Matt's reactions when we know it's fake to the fact that the actors are geting caught up in it while staying in character makes this truly Must See TV.

My wife and I never miss it. We were worried it was just another reality show, but, it's been pretty funny so far. Did you see Matt (Joe Schmo) take out Dr. Pat this week, during the sumo matches? Damn, that dude is intense! Hutch is pretty funny too. The ass pictures in the photo album was classic.
It's on Tuesday nights on Spike Tv (formerly known as TNT) It comes on at 8:00 Central. They usually rerun a previous show right after the new original one.

I love this show! I've only seen it a few times but I laughed the whole time I watched it!
Kaos, basically it's a "anti-reality show." There's this one guy, who thinks he's on a reality show, but everyone else on the show is an actor and they set him up and just mess with him the whole time. It's hilarious

Every time I watch the show and I see some of the over the top acting and sets I think to my self this guy (matt) is a complete idiot.
It is rather funny though, my favorite episode was the "Talent Competition" where matt did his beat box. That was awesome he even had the outfit to go with it.

check out the site www.spiketv.com/shows/joe_schmo/ for info on the show. I thinks its a funny spoof on reality shows and an exercise in improv acting. definately worth a look.

I thought it was going to be lame, but it is actually really well done. I think it is much more interesting than any of the other shows on right now - ie The Bachelor, For Love or Money, Survivor etc.
They could have made him look like a real idiot, but instead is a pretty likeable guy. Even the actors come across as liking him. |

i really don't watch very much tv at all, except for WWE wrestling. they replay the joe shmoe show after wrestling goes off and i decided to watch it to see what it was all about.
i thought the first episode was interesting, at least it had an interesting concept. i just watched the episode where matt flattens dr. pat in the sumo suit. i rarely ever find a tv show laugh out loud funny, most of the time just amusing, but i laughed several times during this episode. one specific moment comes to mind - the "nut knuckle" all aside though - the show does reek and i mean reek of "non-reality" i wouldn't be suprised if matt already knows and is just "playing along". or if matt is really an actor and the joke is on the other actors... if this show is honest to goodness "real" (which i have doubts) then the editing and production staff deserve emmy's. |

Joe Schmo Show
Any one else watch this show on tnn/spike.
i normally hate reality shows cause i find them so fake. kinda ironic for me to just love this because it is so fake indeed. loved some of the stuffed that took place up untill now, such as the hand on the naked porn star contest, dr pat getting whailed in sumo. |

This show is kinda interesting... i wonder where they got the guy from... he is a lil' slow. I enjoy a bit of an episode... better knowing it's all fake.. at least everyone (except Matt) knows it is... I'm just waiting for the other actors to blow it.

As for the show, its great fun, i haven't had this much fun watching a reality show since... well ever To bad this is a one time deal. I doubt they could ever make a 2nd season of something like this unless they filmed a "2nd" season somewhere else at the same time or before the first ep. aired.

Okay, I gotta admit that these past view weeks I've been getting into it. I haven't actively been searching for when it's on, but if I'm flipping and I see it on I'll stop and watch it. I've probably seen the last four episodes or so and it pulled me in. It's taken over my reality TV fix since Paradise Hotel ended (since I can only handle one at a time).
You guys still watching it?

Damn, TNT, TNN I get them confused. Must remember the bad days. "The NASHVILLE Network" TNN
I don't know, the way Teddy's stock has been performing lately, he might take some cash for a name change. I was kinda disappointed this week though. I mean, come on, let's not drag it out even further. I was all ready for the big revelation, now, I have to wait two weeks? Damn you Spike TV!

Some interesting side notes about the Joe Schmo show, and specifically its host Ralph Garman:
Ralph is the entertainment reporter for KROQ here in LA and he is funny as hell. They couldn't have picked a better host. Also, Ralph Garman used to go out with pornstar Ginger Lynn, which is key. A funny thing is that a week or so ago he tried to set the world record for most times masterbating in 24 hours (i shit you not). I think the record was 36 and he made to 32. Pretty funny shit. The radio station would check in on him periodically and he would give updates and stuff.

I love the show! It has been hilarious since the start. My wife and I have noticed a shift during the elimination ceremonies. After Matt had a breakdown after one, all the rest of the elimination ceremonies have been "nice" and easy on him.
Another thing we both noticed was that the show was definitely filmed for Spike TV based purely on the number of challenges involving scantily clad or topless models. Amusing...can't wait to figure out what the ending is like...and like meepa said above I've been wondering if he is actually in on some surprise for the other actor cast members.

Heard Ralph on Lovelines a couple of weeks back. I guess he and Adam have been friends for a long time [sounds like roomies at one time] so it doesn't surprise me that he is whacked!

my god he's an emotional guy!
Was a pretty funny show though, I enjoyed the finale. I give him 6 months before he sues for $130 million for mental anguish

It was interesting. I haven't seen girls licking chocolate off of another mostly naked girl on TV before.
But, did they have to review the whole season, prior to the "moment"? The commercials they were running said "don't miss the 1st 15 minutes!!!" It took them a half hour to get there. How about "truth in advertising" folks! Thanks for listening. |

I loved it...it was just too funny to watch him get that emotional...he can parlay that sesnsitive thing into lots of poontang back home--but he's too nice to do that.
I think they can run aother one...change the name of the show, different actors and people will rush to get on a reality show... P.S. that "Ashleigh" chick is smoking hot!

I liked the ending too.
"Wha? What? What is going on?" in that high pitched whiny voice. He was pretty emotional but, he was definitely a good guy. It was nice to see him get the check and all the other prizes. My favorite part of the show? Watching his eyebrows go up and his eyes pop out when something surprising was revealed. Gonna be tough to top this one.

I was a little let down by the finale. The entire season was hysterical right up until the last episode. It was kinda funny seeing his reaction at first, but then after that they were just telling him what a great guy he was over and over. I'm glad he got all the prizes though, and if they have another season, I'm sure I'll watch it again.
