He doesn't look like a bad ass too me. Longer hair will not improve his acting either and I dont have much faith that #3 will be anything significantly different that the horrors of # 1 and 2.

Hayden's acting wasn't fantastic but to quote a line he uses in the film "he's holding me back!", I believe 'he' is George Lucas. Lucas is a control-freak who wrote a campy (though loveable) script and didn't let his actors roll with the lines. Apparently in Episode III Lucas has told his actors to improv here and there and be more relaxed.
I'm probably just a big ol' geek but I find the scene where Anakin confesses to Padme about killing all the Tusken Raiders very chilling (especially on the DVD version where he says "I'm a Jedi, I know I'm better than this.". Hopefully Hayden will be able to come into his own in Ep3. Regardless I'm going to enjoy and love the film as any devout Star Wars fan will. |

Can you tell me what they're supposed to be comparing in these pics?
If it's hair, then shouldn't they have used the Luke hairdo from Ep. IV? It looks a little more wild and wavy and it looks more like the new Anakin hairdo than Ep. VI's does. Anyway, the pics look great to me, and even though the first two Episodes weren't as good as the original trilogy, I still enjoyed them and I'm looking forward to III. Thank you Mr.Deflock, for once again enhancing my TFP experience. |

The only thing that will make Ep 3 good will be if Lucas doesn't direct or write it...
I am afaid that regardless of how cool Anakin looks the film is still going to blow...

If Hayden Christensen had any sense of dignity, he would return every cent he got paid for being in that movie, 'cause - believe me - he stole that paycheck. And somebody needs to tell George Lucas that having special effects as the sole redeeming value of a movie worked in the 80s only because he was the only one doing them. Now he is one of many.

I remember when I heard that Hayden Christensen got the role of Anikan I had just finished watching Life as a House, and thought he did a decent job. He was good in The Virgin Suicides as well.
Then, I watched Episode II... If I could have invented a device that allowed an audience to reach through the screen and punch him in the throat, I'd have made a fortune. I'm still not convinced that Lucas didn't think it made a great joke by having a cardboard cutout of Hayden Christensen play Anakin... Ha ha, very funny George...

I don't blame Hayden's acting ability, I blame Lucas' controlling ability. I doubt he's saying "Ok that take was good, but now, more anger," and then "getting better but still, anger, and remember that your only relative was tortured to death".
Like I said before, Lucas has been made aware of this by the fans and McCallum and he's said that he's giving the actors space to breathe. I still very much enjoyed Ep1 and 2, and am thoroughly looking forward to Ep3. |

What do you mean it's hard to act in front of a blue screen?!? How do you explain that brilliant piece of acting Harry Hamlin did in Clash of the Titans?!?
Oh, wait...
