Thread lich!
I've been thinking about the Captain America movie that's supposed to come out in 2011. (this may ramble some) Will it take place in the 1930's and '40's, or just have flashbacks to that time period like the X-men movie did? Who will be Cap, and who will be his nemesis/nemeses? I've read some threads on IMDB that mention Sam Worthington and Chris Ashworth as possible choices. I'm only familiar with Worthington's name (not seen any of his work, though) and have never heard of Ashworth. Both have the facial features for a good Cap, but both look to be in their 30's, and I think Cap should be in his late teens to early 20's to start out. He was a young, regular guy that wanted to serve his country by joining the Army, was found unfit, and then received an extraordinary gift in the form of the super-soldier formula. But he was still inexperienced in the beginning. I think it would be good if they showed him learning to be a soldier like the other soldiers he fights alongside of in WWII. Tonight, I watched the premier of Merlin on NBC and the guy that plays Prince Arthur (Bradley James) looks like he could do a good rendition of Cap. Also, I think Chris Pine might be a good candidate, too. Do you think him playing Kirk and Cap would be a bit much? Quote:
What do you guys think?

I can't see a 20 something playing Captain America with Robert Downy playing Iron Man. RDJ's personality can't outshine the guy playing Captain America. Like it or not, Ironman is supposed to be the douche bag of the bunch and we can't have people liking him more than the cap.

It's not really a rumor but now that Marvel owns the Marvelman rights I'd love to see the Alan Moore run done as a movie (yes I know I know Alan Moore movie but this one would work better than Watchmen). Marvelman vs Kid Marvelman would be increadible on the big screen.
