Thread lich!
I've been thinking about the Captain America movie that's supposed to come out in 2011. (this may ramble some)
Will it take place in the 1930's and '40's, or just have flashbacks to that time period like the X-men movie did?
Who will be Cap, and who will be his nemesis/nemeses?
I've read some threads on IMDB that mention Sam Worthington and Chris Ashworth as possible choices.
I'm only familiar with Worthington's name (not seen any of his work, though)
and have never heard of Ashworth.
Both have the facial features for a good Cap, but both look to be in their 30's, and I think Cap should be in his late teens to early 20's to start out.
He was a young, regular guy that wanted to serve his country by joining the Army, was found unfit, and then received an extraordinary gift in the form of the super-soldier formula.
But he was still inexperienced in the beginning. I think it would be good if they showed him learning to be a soldier like the other soldiers he fights alongside of in WWII.
Tonight, I watched the premier of Merlin on NBC and the guy that plays Prince Arthur (Bradley James) looks like he could do a good rendition of Cap.
Also, I think Chris Pine might be a good candidate, too.
Do you think him playing Kirk and Cap would be a bit much?

I hope to god they'll do Capt. America in a WWII setting and cinematography better be like Bands of Brothers/Saving private Ryan (minus the camera shaking). And they cast the villain in Casino Royale as the Red Skull. I can die a peaceful man if that happens.

There you go. That would be awesome to behold.
What do you guys think?
