Wow, a movie that was "95% drama, 5% fighting" must suck by default.
Has anyone here been reading The Hulk recently? The Hulk doesnt even show up in a good chunk of the issues. The main character is Banner. Of course there's going to be less action when the goal of the main character is to not let out the beast inside him. Hell the only part of the movie I didnt like was Nick Nolte. He was horrible and sooooo out of place in this movie.

I liked it some, maybe 3.5 out of 5.
Way to much Comic Book panel editing... Why did they not only change his origin, but change another character to be like another Marvel Villian. Won't say who the Villian is/was/kinda was, due to Spoiler. Could have been much better. Hulk vs. Tanks was cool. PG-13 and he still didn't kill anything but Hulk Dogs. PG-13 and only Banner's naked butt... We could have at least seen Jennifer's

I give it three stars: I liked the comic book editing (my brother didn't) and was impressed by the CGI and the action sequences. My brother didn't like the "psychobabble", which I did, but I can see why people think there's too much.
We both agree that it runs slowly sometimes -- it was a little over 2 hours long but it seemed like 3! Plus the Nick Nolte character was an unnecessary addition to the Hulk origin. |

Im glad for the change. Im so sick of these effects bloated summer action movies. What really sucks is that when someone tries to do something different with the genre (i.e. develop the plot instead of rehashing the same'ol smashemup), we complain and beg for the same lame formula.... now that is boring.

Cut the enemy as quickly and directly as possible. Cut with certainty. Cut decisively, resoultely. Cut into his strength. Flow through the gaps in his guard. Cut him. Cut him down utterly. Don't allow him a breath. Crush him. Cut him without mercy to the depth of his spirit. It is the balance to life: death. It is the dance with death. It is the law a war wizard lives by, or he dies. |
