When you got your last birth control prescription,, did they do one?
Edited, because I'm wrong... Check out www.plannedparenthood.org FOr your location -- some california locations do cancer screenings - -but it doesn't look like all of them have the resources to do that. (and I'm not sure where in Cali you are.

Since you are a fulltime student, and under age 23, you are probably covered under your parents insurance.
I believe the laws were changed in recent years, that women are allowed 1 yearly "well woman" checkup with a gynocologist, without a referral, and that it is a covered check up.

I thought they all did. Probably because most of my friends go to the Planned Parenthood facility here and get their annual pap smear/check up every year. They also do a breast exam.
I also thought it was required to have an exam before they would issue you any birth control pills. But again, I may be wrong.

ahem -- ladies -- you may be young - buy you should be doing breast exams MONTHLY!!!!
Don't rely on the doctor -- it's something that you should be doing yourself - in addition to the doctor.
