Dumb question, but...

...I was wondering if Planned Parenthood does Pap Smears and the typical "womanly checkup" stuff. Hmmmm...

When you got your last birth control prescription,, did they do one?

Edited, because I'm wrong...

Check out www.plannedparenthood.org

FOr your location -- some california locations do cancer screenings - -but it doesn't look like all of them have the resources to do that. (and I'm not sure where in Cali you are.

Since you are a fulltime student, and under age 23, you are probably covered under your parents insurance.

I believe the laws were changed in recent years, that women are allowed 1 yearly "well woman" checkup with a gynocologist, without a referral, and that it is a covered check up.

I thought they all did. Probably because most of my friends go to the Planned Parenthood facility here and get their annual pap smear/check up every year. They also do a breast exam.

I also thought it was required to have an exam before they would issue you any birth control pills. But again, I may be wrong.

ahem -- ladies -- you may be young - buy you should be doing breast exams MONTHLY!!!!

Don't rely on the doctor -- it's something that you should be doing yourself - in addition to the doctor.

planned parenthood use to require a pap to get birth control but a couple of years they stopped requiring it your first year, however it's a good idea and all you have to do is call and ask

Ok so I just accidently posted that previous post under NatureBoy's account! I forgot I was using his computer not mine, I tried to delete it but I couldn't. Hope the moderators don't get mad at him for posting in the ladies lounge because it was my fault.

Yes, planned Parenthood covers all that for you.
