Yes, it is VERY possible. It could be your hormones, or something like that, that cause you to smell like that, or it could be an infection. Ask him if he's serious, or just kidding. If he's serious, talk to a doctor about it, if you're worried.

I'd smack the shit outta any guy who said that to me. Seriously. If he's joking or serious, nobody should say that in that sort of way. Real mature

lol Averett...I was kinda thinking the same thing
Granted, perhaps in their context it's ok Anyways...regardless of the question of rudeness... Go see a doctor. Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

Yeah, I wasn't thinking that he would mean it rudely. I mean, everyone jokes around about these things, right?
(Personally, I joke around about my stanky vagina myself. hahaha...) Make sure you're washing it thoroughly in the shower too! |

If YOU notice a difference in how you smell, and you really should know, get yourself to your gynocologist right away, it could be any number of infections.
BActerial Infections from WebMD I can't find the actual link, but there are many different things that can cause a change in odor, where you are in your menstrual cycle, pregnancy, infection (if you are itchy it could be either Vaginitis or Bacterial Vaginitis), change in diet, change in stress level, change in hormone level (Have you switched methods of birth control?) even aging. Or your boyfriend could just be really tactless. But I'd stil go immediately to the doctor.

it's funny you say that. today at my work i rang in some sort of seafood (i'm a seafood moron, i don't even remember what they were...it was like oysters or something like that....) but they smelled really gross and i thought it smelled a little like pussy. but it was much worse. i was debating telling the customer that the smell of their food made me want to vomit more than anything inthe world (in case the smell was an indication of spoiled seafood), but i figured it might be what they are supposed to smell like and i wouldn't know and then i would have grossed them out. plus, i figured they picked the food out, they must have been able to smell it. i'll stop rambling now.

Yeah, what a jerk.
Anyhow, I think that most vaginas have a little bit of an odor, but there are steps to take to make sure your odor stays unnoticable. First of all, most of the odors are caused by sweating. If you know you are going to be doing something, take a shower and stay cool. Also, using a powder can keep the area dry- but only on the outside. AND DO NOT USE BABY POWDER! The talc in baby powder can lead to cancer if used on the vagina. I think Summer's Eve makes a special powder for that. Also, using a deodorant spray would help, too. I also keep my area shaved or neatly trimmed during the summer to cut down on sweat. And be sure to wear cotton during the hot months- it breathes easier than silk. I would not go sans underwear, either. It may sound gross, but the underwear helps to absorb sweat and odor. Hope some of this helps.
