Ok heres how it breaks down give the man a welcome to america flag and tell him he has to start making rent himself, everyone here is dead on about he should be plenty justified (in in the case required) in moving to a cheaper area. The way I see it he is an american now, he gets to enjoy our american freedom to work our entire lives for half of what we are worth not even a quarter of it and never be an eighth as thankful as we should be. He is the only one in the end that can help himself, i know its bleak but people all need to find thier own survival. Hell i known people all my life who never got as much as the help he got there and they are acctually living thier means (just barely). How old are his children, surely with 7 and one on the way at least one is 14 or so and can be asked to get a job, and another job for the father, and a part time job for the mother if most of the kids are school age. unskilled labor is a tough living but short of putting his 8 to be 9 dependents in some sort of free stasis he dont have much of a chance to get to be highly skilled even if he was completely fluent. Learn the language, pay yor bills, avoid debt like the plague. And damnit thank the government for what they have done dont ever expect anything from them (but take whats offered)
And this may look like a fine point to some but notice its luthren social services who is sweating him here, this isnt a government issue, this is a public charity issue, LSS exists to so what it can but its budget isnt very big (trust me i know). They however may even be doing a disservice cause thye are the ones seeding big towns with immegrants tthat cant sustain themselves, great for people who want a mowed lawn and well serviced burger king, bad for unskilled laborers.
If i come off as an ass its prolly cause i have more than one friend that is either homeless or becomming that way rather quickly right now and damnit if i wasnt lucky enough to have cushy parents i would be too. It sucks the big one but thats life
