I couldnt figure out where to put this lol it could go a few places...so move if needed.

I am SO psyched. I went to the one in Las Vegas and it was the best 40 bucks I EVER spent for a meal. Now we are getting one of our own about 10 miles from my house

of course it was a tad difficult in the beginning to get the scene from The Cable Guy out of my head...but once the show started I forgot all about it.

Anyone else here ever been to one of the other 8 in north america?

I swear by all thats holy I will be there the night they open!!!

Medieval Times' success at Arundel Mills' solidified our desire to expand our partnership with The Mills Corporation. Heather Lisa Rittner, marketing director at Discover Mills, points out: "With more than 200 stores at Discover Mills, we are excited to be chosen as the first home in Georgia for Medieval Times and bring our customers another exciting dining and entertainment option. We always strive to bring customers new and unique options to the area. Medieval Times is one of the country's most lively restaurant concepts."

Those dining at Medieval Times can feast on a four-course meal while watching spectacular pageantry, exquisite horsemanship and an authentic medieval jousting tournament. Rittner says: "It can be an unforgettable evening for the entire family."

When we were teenagers, my parents took my siblings and I to see the one in Toronto. It was fun if a wee bit silly. To this day I still scratch my head as to what inspired them to take us. None of my siblings or I had ever expressed any interest in this sort of thing.

Shanifaye, I'd lay a bet that if you really liked Medieval Times, then the show <a href="http://www.cavalia.net" target="_blank">Cavalia </a>would blow your mind. Its home city is Montreal, but it does tour occasionally.

I grew up near one, it was in Buena Park, CA. Now there's one near NYC in NJ I believe near where Mal hails from....

I have never been. I don't like to eat with my hands.... Pontius Pilate syndrome... I have to wash my hands constantly. LOL my own neurosis

Yeah - There's one in Dallas that I've been to three times in the last 18 years. It's pretty cool. Then again, I'm a big roleplayer/gamer/fantasty reader, so I just dove right in and loved it.

It's one of those things that I think if you're into anything historical, medieval, etc. you should do at least once in your life.

it's in Lyndhurst - next town over from me and it's hands down (unwashed) the worst dining experience I have ever encountered in my life... I've been to Taco Bells that seemed more sanitary...

After about 2 bites, the food was just bad... it's all about the entertainment.. and watching people ride around on horses while I'm having dinner didn't do it for me...

The place in NJ -- a stones throw from NYC is big among tourists and that's about it...

I've been to the one in Myrtle Beach, SC. I loved it. Yeah, the food was a little messy, but it was pretty good. I enjoyed the games. They even had a little museum of medieval torture devices at that one...people really can be really barbaric. I'm not into fantasy/roleplaying, but history has always been my favorite subject, particularly European history, so that was fun. I thought it was a little pricey, but I enjoyed it just the same. I would definitely go to another one!

The one I went to lists itself as being in Buena Park, CA. Food was fair, entertainment was cool. Really liked the torture museum. It put into perspective how far we've come (at least, those of us who don't live in Iraq, Chile, etc.)

The guys behind me got drunk and had a great time cheering on "their knight."

All you have to do is suspend a little disbelief in regard to a medieval king wearing a wireless mike, but there's not much of a way around it.

I've been to the in Orlando many times, always a great night out. Since I have family in the ATL area, it will be nice to go to one closer to home. Thanks for pointing this one out.

I guess it's typical, but I thought that the one in Toronto ( http://www.medievaltimes.com/castleTO/home.htm ) was the only one. never have been, is it similar to "his Magesty's Feast'?

I've been to one. It was ok I guess. I enjoyed the show but the food left much to be desired. Maybe that was part of the 'authentic' experience?

Not far from where I live is Lumley Castle, where they do an Elizabethan Banquet.

The Medival Times was very close to my old office and I'd pass it on the way to work everyday.

My son as been a few times, as has my wife, but I just don't have the desire to pay for overpriced food and a cheesy show.

I'd rather go to the Renaissance Fair... somehow just a little less canned than MT.

My wife (an avid horse rider) has a dream of being the first female knight. She would wear a helm for the majority of the show and then when she wins, she would doff her helm revealing not a dashing knight but a roaring damsel who would then steal a kiss from the king.

Now that she's bald she figures she could play a very good villian as well.

I've been to the one near Chicago (sorry, can't recall the suburb just now).

It was an above average experience, but I prefer a good ren fest as well.

Still, if one opened around here, I would take the family occassionally.

well of course I prefer a good Ren Fest....but we dont have them year round!! I like the idea of having something to get my "fix" every year from June until the next April

A few years ago we went to MT for a friends birthday (the one in Chicago).

The only thing I remember was the show wasn't bad and the food wasn't that good. Getting drink refils was pretty slow as well.

A few years ago I went to one near Los Angeles (Not sure if it's the Buena Park one or not...). Anyway, the whole experience was so very unique. There's nothing like drinking out of a heavy metal mug (though they could have used free refills...ahem) and eating meat off the bone while everyone else around you is doing the same.

The show was fun, though I'd think it would get a little tedious after seeing it once or twice. Medieval Times is definatley a "touristy" attraction - something one doesn't frequent for just the last-minute stop and eat dinner. However, it should be a good addition to the Atlanta suburb and cause an increase in business. Hope y'all enjoy it!
