some artist called Uziga or something. im not sure if i spelled it right but it was pretty fucking sick...

The only thing in my life that has ever made me nearly puke is the motorcycle accident guy. Those that have commented on it so far know what I mean. My friend printed a picture of it in high quality and brought it to school one day. He asked me to look at it. Of course, I looked at it thinking it would be porn or something. Nope, just a man with his entire face shredded and ripped apart, eyes hanging down a little bit. The man's face looked like someone swung an axe into his face. One of the more disturbing parts of the picture was the fact that he was holding a pan under his face where the blood could drip. I didn't puke when I saw that picture, but it was the closest I've ever came to it.

The guy was stradling the victim's body, raising his arms over his head and stabbing over and over, for like 4 minutes. Of course the victim's family sued the prison and won.
I couldnt sleep the night I watched it. I had never seen someone murdered before, outside of faces of death and war videos. This was just too up close and real.

This was my entry. I work in corrections in Key West and they made us watch that. The one image that was burned into my memory is when he stabbed him in the head, and punctured the skull. All I remember was the guy on top trying to pull the shank back out and his head was stuck to the blade. It finally came loose and his head hit the ground. I was alright untill that moment. Another thing that disturbed me was what he said when he got off him "we got some white fucking power up in here" When they interviewed him, do you remember him saying that he only planned on stabbing him to kill him but his body kept moving, so he kept stabbing him until he finally stopped moving. There isnt a bomb or plague on this earth that can and will never be as cruel as the human mind.

The Downer video was pretty disturbing but the man was a fraud so i didn't care much for it. Seen a man get torn apart by two jeeps, just 2 ropes tied his arms and ride that man apart very disturbing also. I've seen plenty of disturbing stuff at snuff , ogrish, rotten and snuffx. Use to enjoy watching it , i dunno just visting the sites daily seemed fun. But i lost interest in it, i forgot most videos anyways which is a good thing. Nowadays orgish turned into garbage so i don't visit it anymore im done with watching people suffer.

I downloaded a Faces of Death video on Kazaa that featured a man getting his penis chopped off with a machete.

xxmsaxx 06-06-2003 08:11 PM

Ive seen the throat cutting clip, but shit like that dont phase me much. I saw a child porn one time of like this three year old and this guy was trying to get her to ride him, and needless to say it pissed me off bad. I have a three yr old daughter and all I can think of is some fucking child molester trying to do that to her. Id kill em. Once again I was the victom of misnaming on kazaa. you think ur getting Gage fucking and sucking but low and behold AHHHHHHHH child porn

buffto 06-08-2003 01:27 AM

ogrish.com has a lot of that shit. Oh, and what is this tubgirl thing i keep hearing about? It'll probably make me puke, but i can't stand the curiosity.

buffto 06-08-2003 01:45 AM

oh, nevermind. guess i should bother to read a couple posts ahead..

buffto 06-08-2003 02:06 AM

oh yeah, the most disturbing thing i've seen. That would have to be a video i saw on r33t.org a few years ago. This Japanese girl is sitting at a table with a bedpan in front of her. She stick her hand down her throat to induce vomiting. She does this many times and never seems to run out. Finally, when she's all done, she dips her hand in the bedpan, scoops out a bunch of vomit and eats it. She cleans out the bedpan.

My uncle is a fireman and responded to this j-4 accident (death involved). Apparently, this drunk driver crossed over from the eastbound lanes into the westbound lanes (about 20 feet of grass in between) and continued for about a mile. That's when a trucker crashed into him. Trucker going 70, drunk going 100+. My uncle said they found body parts half a mile away from the accident. The trucker sustained no injuries.

A documentary on Pakistanian women whose husbands had decided that "wife is being unfaitfull, so I will throw a bottle of acid on their face!" The men had NO proof what so ever, one sid the real reason was that man thought the dowry he got from woman's family was too small??! I will describe this, but you gotta see a picture to understand: the worst mutilated of these women had their whole face burned to deep purple-red scars, worse than Nightmare on Elm Street, and they had no eyebrows or lashes. Hell, they had NO nose, just two holes, or actual lips.
Look at the link with your own risk: http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/...0/projban3.htm
That's not as bad as to hear them tell why that happened to them and some of them are living now in state prison cos it's the only place where they are safe from (ex)husbands.

NEVER has anything that I've seen on TV made me SO MAD! I was furious for days.

Forks:

Fookinghell..

Arf, I don't get often touched by humans being cruel to each other, but like springrain, I cry when people are cruel to animals. I am specially fond of hedgehogs and read in the news paper last year that two men got a sentence for burning a hedgehog from alive after first cutting it's legs and pouring oil over it. GRRRRRRRRRRR!

One nature documentary made a lasting memory, it was just macabre and cruel. On a beach full of steller sea lions, two huge males start to fight over their territories and females. A happy curry cub is happily toddling along near them when another one of these huge males falls over it. Camera zooms into a small lump of red and furry skin when they continue the fight. :(

Talking of that video clip - I don't know if it's derived from the same one everyone else is mentioning but I've seen one where a guy gets held down on the floor and gets his head simply sliced off with a knife. Completely removed and gets held up by the bloke who's just cut it off. You could tell from the blood and the audio that it wasn't a fake. Shit. My mate who showed it to me thought it was hilarious, which I why I (unfortunately) saw the whole clip. I couldn't turn away for some reason - I just had to stare, unable to comprehend how anyone could do such a thing. That was 4 years ago and I can't forget it. That beats tubgirl anyday, although that was pretty sick too.

BTW, I have to ask through curiosity and through having seen tubgirl: Goatsee? Do I really want a link?

lurkette 06-18-2003 05:32 AM

In real life: my brother's dead body.

On the web (snopes.com): a picture of a weightlifter who supposedly had suffered a massive rectal prolapse while lifting. It's a photoshopped hoax, but still. Eeeeyeeeew.

MikeyChalupa 06-18-2003 08:21 AM

The Russian soldier throat cutting video (by Chechen rebels, apparently) is pretty gruesome. So is the Daniel Pearl video which I caught at bangedup.com before they had to take it down.

There was a vid I saw of two asian girls in a hot tub. One stuck her fingers down her throat and puked all over the other girl, into the tub, and so on, then the second girl was eating the larger chunks of what looked like shrimp. Almost lost the lunch on that one.

The video of the dead American soldiers that came out of Iraq when the 507th was captured was pretty disturbing to me. It's not that it was very graphic, but more because as a servicemember, ending up on the floor of that hospital is a potential part of our job description. For it to happen to those guys, and then to have it broadcast to the world, just plain sucks.

The other day at the local grocery store I saw a guy pull up to the front in a beat-up old car, jump out, run over to the smoke station outside the front door and grab a handfull of butts from the ash tray, jump back into his car and drive off. Somehow that was rather disturbing to me.

Seeing my dad and his brother get into a fight at a family reunion. Only 2 or 3 punches thrown, but it was pretty shocking for a kid in second grade.

frankx 07-16-2003 08:17 PM

A friend of mine had all of his skin literally peeled from his head when a high pressure steam pipe he was working on ruptured.

Ten feet in front of me.

He laid on the deck for a few seconds and then - when we thought he was dead - he sat up. Scariest fuckin thing I've ever seen. The thing I remember the most was the engineering officer holding us back saying "Don't touch him - there's nothing you can do" even when we saw him moving. The corpsmen were on him almost immediately. He lived for four agonizing hours after they got him to the Naval hospital. That was eleven years ago and I still have nightmares about it.

The video with the guy getting his throat cut is diabolocal, but what really bothers me is that when I watched it for the first time, my only thought was "I've seen worse".

Gebbinn 07-16-2003 08:38 PM

When I was 17, I worked as a volunteer fire fighter in Washington State. I was coming home late at night from a church dance, when my pager went off, reporting a motor vehicle accident that was just up the road from where I was. I was first on scene, and what had been reported as a motor vehicle accident was in fact a motorcycle/18wheeler accident.

The first thing I saw was the big rig totally blocking the road, it had been making a U-turn and the driver misjudged the size of the road. Then I saw the motorcycle about 200 yards down the road, the light shining on the motionless form of a body lying about 25 meters away. At first glance it seemed that this was just another motorcycle crash, almost like the rider had dumped his bike and slid under the rig. As I stopped just short of the semi, and started to get out of my car, I finally saw the extent of what had happened.

What I saw haunts me to this day. There on the side of the trailer was a small splattering of blood, with a few specks of bone and hair, and lying on the ground just below was the top half of a head. It was rather mangled, but still identifiable as what it was, the eyes stared lifelessly out of the shattered scalp, bits of bone and grey matter spread out in a small pool of blood. I lost my dinner rather violently, and then covered the remains of the head, and then the top of the lifeless body with some old rags I had in the car.

When the ambulance showed up, I got the hell out of there. I learned later that the rider had a blood alcohol level above 2.0, and the driver said that she heard the motorcycle still accelerating when it hit her rig.

I quit as a volunteer after that.. it was just too much.

hmm.

there's a fine line between disturbing and just plain sick. self, the most disturbing thing I've seen... toss up between watching clips of people throw themselves out of windows (9/11) while listening to the WTC remix of "Blinded by Rainbows", watching Schindler's List as a kid, or watching Requiem for a Dream as an adult who knows a lot of druggies...

Most disturbing accident - there's a tunnel where I-10 becomes Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica - it's a two-lane, right-hand curve and you have to already be slowing down when you enter it. It's known locally as "the rabbit hole" and hardly anyone actually does slow down. Many, many accidents in there. I came upon one very shortly after it happened. It was a mini truck that had obviously hit the center rail and ended up upside-down in the right-hand lane. Cars had just started slowing to pass and there was this creepy, slow procession of cars going past and a few people had pulled over but they were all standing 20 feet or so away - the top of the truck was crumpled like paper and about level with the dashboard. An arm was hanging out the passenger window (still attached, just kinda flopped out onto the ground) and as I passed, I saw the hand move. I freaked and pulled my car over... jumped out and started yelling at all the people who were just standing there, staring. My first thoguht was, "what if it's ME in that truck? I'd be scared shitless! Why are all these people just staring?" I went over, knelt down and held the guy's hand and talked to him until the police got there a few minutes later. It's one of the few things that has really stuck with me for a significant time after the event. I wasn't really actively tripped out for a long time, but I do remember just feeling off-center for a couple of weeks.

I saw a carjacking, gun and all, of a mom and baby when I was... I dunno... 8? 9? Right in front of me. I had weird guilt about it for years because I didn't do anything. Yeah, I know that's irrational and I got over it years ago, but that's how it affected me. The guy looked right at me, too. I thought he was gonna come find me.

punkgrl1984 07-18-2003 08:24 AM

When I was about 5 years old my dad and I were boating down a river by my house. When we got a little farther down We saw a dead body just floating right on the top. It was all bloated and green. I only saw it for a minute because my dad turned us around to go home and call the police, but that image is still stuck in my head over 13 years later. He had been floating there for 6 days.

icy_ca 07-18-2003 09:14 AM

I've seen people in different stages of dead and dying as a result of their own hands, or the hands of others. The only thing that makes me weep (so far) is the story of James Bulger...
The idea that two young boys could have the imagination and the perseverance to do to poor James...
It doesn't give me good thoughts for our future as a species regardless of the good done daily in the world.
There's always more...

I was witness to a school shooting, saw a guy take a couple of shots to the chest all over a girl. They made a "Dateline" out of it. Things like that can FUCK you up. In fact... it messed up the whole town.

try searching on kazaa or the 'net for "faces of death". you should be able to find the vid fairly easily.

During the summer while at UNI. I worked in a local amusment park, I was driving a motor boat on the lake.
I started the first trip at 08.00 and saw what I though was a pink blanket in the water. I dockewd the boat and then with the attendent rowed a small boat out to get it ( Stop it tangling the props). As we got closer we both freeked, the blanket had a pair of leg under it. She had beem wearing a black skirt so we had not been able to see them from the boat.
Called the cops then had to bring her to the lake shore. using a drag while she floated.
I will never forget seeing her face and hair as she was pulled out of the water. She was all bloated and puffed up from being in the water and all the collected sh*t and bugs that dribbled out of her hair.
Still see her ! a sad old lady who no one could decide on how she died.

pmb145 07-22-2003 06:21 AM

Why are we compelled to see such horrible things. After seeing the video where the politician shot himself I can't get it out of my head. I regret ever going to stileproject.com. I didn't clcik the link that said 'kitten stir fry' but I still am horrified by the thought and can't get myself to forget it. I will never look at the video but I will always be curious.

Lazy Alan 07-22-2003 12:27 PM

Must have been the summer of 1990. I was eating at a dairy queen looking out the window at the highway. A 18 wheeler had stoped on the side.. well a lady rear ended the thing and went under. The force of the colllision removed the top of the car as well as part of her shoulders, all of her neck, and what remained of her head. She had several children in the car at the time.(all so short they lived) After everyone rushed outside to see, one of the kids was trying to hug his mother back to life or something.. all covered with his own mothers blood and gore.

Cyprusg 07-22-2003 04:40 PM

Reading all these made me realize how sickening and cruel life can be sometimes. I've seen people get shot, car accidents, etc.. etc.. But nothing compares to someone stabbing someone else. It's the most primal and evil thing ever.

I make a point to not visit sites that promote these types of things. I just can't help but think "what if that was somebody I knew that they showed dead, or being hurt". I just think that showing death scenes is disrespectful to their families.

I saw some guy shoot himself after a long car chase on the news about a year back. Luckily the camera was far enough away so I didn't really get to see much but still, it was a shock because I didnt expect to see something like that.

WoW!
When I was 18 I was driving that exact same freeway(I-10 to PCH) was on my way home feeling relaxed.
It was raining, I wasnt paying enuf attention.
when I was about 1/8 of a mile away from the tunnel (there is a curve before it so you cant see whats ahead kinda) I saw stopped cars and I had to hit the brakes.
I started fishtailing and immedialtely thought "I'm done, this is it." when I released some of the pressure on the brake pedal and came out of the fishtail although I was still sliding and JUST BARELY avoided slamming into the car in front of me.
I must have stopped like 2 feet from the guys bumper and I remember seeing the look on his face, he was so scared I thought he was gonna pop! I have no idea how I stopped in time cuz it didnt seem possible that I could with my rate of speed and the slick road. My adrenaline was rushing for 30 minutes after that, not even getting stoned helped (no I wasnt already stoned).
Sorry I had to share that when I read Donkeypuncher's post

OK the most disturbing thing I ever saw was a motorcycle accident on Van Nuys BLVD in the San Fernando Valley.
There is a large curve at the north end of the road and one night I was on my way home with my buddy and we hit all this traffic which was weird at that time. When we approached the accident it was a guy on a motorcycle who was going so fast he didnt make the turn and hit a power pole. The disturbing thing was that the guy was stuck/wrapped to the damn pole about 3 feet in the air. Just stuck there, body limp(dead) and blood everywhere. It was a total mess. I imagined how it must have felt to be him and what he was thinking right before the impact, and what in the world was holding him there, his ribs or a spike on the pole, I dunno. I still can see it in my mind vividly. Gives me the creeps.

thephuse 07-22-2003 09:50 PM

*shudder* .. omfg...
the things i jsut heard here is gonna make me sick :-p
the sickest thing i saw was a boa constrictor or some large snake that had swallowed a human (as they dont chew) and was enormous. the guy's friends caught it and opened it up, the guy was like half digested or some shit.. ugh.. still makes me sick

willdabeast 07-22-2003 10:24 PM

I work in TV news...so I've seen a lot of bad accidents.
1) Corvette vs. Cement mixer. I remember this was about 2 months into the job. I was shooting the shit with one of the cops at the scene. I told him that I heard it was a single fatality on the scanner, so why are there two bags. He looked at me and said, "Well just cause there's one fatal...don't mean he's in one piece."

2) Convertable vs. Alligator Ally. It's a long stretch of hihway between Naples, Fl. and Boca Raton. Anyway some guy flipped his convertable. I remember shooting the scene from a chopper. Long red streak that ended where the car stopped.

3) Chevy Cavalier vs. Greyhound (bus not dog). This one was realllly bad. It was on a two lane highway and someone crossed the center line. I got to the scene and was about 10 feet from the car, and I could smell blood. The car was so badly damaged they left the body in it when they towed it.

4)Boater vs. his boat. Guy lost his balance when his boat hit a wake. He went over and got hit by his own prop. Again one fatality...two bags.

That's all I can think of right now, but I'm tired. And all the accidents seem to blend together.

nothingx 07-22-2003 11:57 PM

After reading four pages of these stories I wish I hadn't.... here's mine anyway...

Once in highschool, after prom... my date and I went to one of her friend's house that I didn't know too well. There was a lot of drinking going on and a lot of people there. I saw this guy go into a back room with a girl... after awhile I heard her crying "stop that. you're hurting me. let me go." I was about to go fuck the guy up when they both came back out to the rest of the party... Just then my date wanted to leave, so I told one of my friends that was there to keep an eye on her cause that asshole had been fucking with her... turned out that asshole was her boyfriend and it was a regular thing... not sure why, but that one really bothered me.

The most disturbing thing I've ever seen - tough to say. I was the victim of an attempted murder about six months ago. I thought I had dealt with it pretty well... a few nights ago I was laying in bed drifting in and out of sleep.

It began as an extremely vivid flashback of the event (I could actually feel the knife entering my body)... but it got worse from there. Almost equally realistic visions came of the other ways the situation could have ended... scary shit.

And to you skeptics, this is not a joke.

i wasnt there to see what im gonna tell you but this absolutelly
true!!!!!

summer between 9th-10th grade 1995

im from a town by albany new york called voorheesville. its your average town with alot of good weed .so two of my friends, lets call them jim and dave, stopped along side this road called 85A
to smoke a bowl and take a wiz . so they were gettin high when
they noticed a plastic bag. so of course being high and curious
they decided to check it out. they got some sticks and started prodding and poking the bag. they told me that when the bag broke open, the most foul smell came from whatever was in there.
but of course that did not stop them so they got a closer look.
at first they could not tell what the hell it was. so they ripped the bag open a little more. what they saw still haunts my friend jim
to this day. at first they told me they thought it was a bag of rotten apples but when they saw the entire thing they realized it
waz an aborted baby thrown into the woods in aplastic bag!!!!
even today when i ask them about it they seems to be really disturbed.
i know i know, your thinking i made this up. right? but........

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY A TRUE STORY

tikki 07-24-2003 12:38 PM

Today I saw the most disturbing thing of my life. I am at the cable company office getting a new remote, and a tattooed up guy walks in. I look at him and notice one of his ears look like it has a giant gash down the middle. Then I see his other ear. It has a one inch hoop stuck in the middle of the lop. I could shoot marbles through it! UGH. I almost barfed.

Yah, thats easily the most disturbing one I've seen as well. I've seen all there is to see, and that one bothers me.

First non TB post

The (Dwyer) video of the man who calmly passed out awards at a news conference and then reached under the podium and brounght out a manila enveloped that had a 357 magnum in it.
Thenews camera was filming from the side, you could hear the audience gasp and someone pleading with him no to do it.

He mumbled something about staying back( and I think at this point off camera some one moved towards him) and he placed the gun is his mouth and pulled the trigger. Blood and brain matter splattered all over the wipe board behind him and his body slumped down against the back wall.

The camera zoomed in closer and you could see the top portion of his head had exploded and two rivers of blood streaming out of his nose. The camera was in so tight that you could see his eyes as the life force left and then his body slowly collapsed into itself as the last breath he had taken was slowly expelled.

I have the WMV file but I've only been able to watch it a few times. It's too horrific.

I've seen the Chechnyian soldier getting his throat cut.Amazing how long the knife took to pierce his neck and cut through his larynx.

I mistakeningly saw a scat video where a absolutely gorgeous blonde lies on the bathroom floor and a guy dumps an unbelievable amount of excretea on her face. The most disgusting thing I have ever seen.Sick.

There was a video taken in Afgahistan of a thief (or a enemy soldier) who was a young boy,and he was laid down against a dirt berm with his hands tied behind his back. One of the villagers stepped up to him and fired several rounds from a AK into his chest. The boy was still alive and was gasping for air. The guy walked back uo to him and loosened of a longer burst causing the rifle barrel to rise and stitched him from the chest to the center of his face. It shattered his lower jaw.He lay there gasping, like a fish out of water, until he died

A friend of mine was working near the WTC on 9/11. When the first plane struck they looked out their office window and somehow got the incorrect information that it was a gas pipe explosion. It wasn't until their Dallas office called and told them to turn on CNN that they then saw the second strike. They were instantly terrified and evacuated the building.

When they were exiting the building they were told to make their way down to the port to safety. This took them down the street underneath the towers, He told me that there where bright red objects that he could barely make out up the street in front of them. At first he thought that they were traffic cones. As he got closer they realized that they were chunks of bodies littering the pavement.

The fires in the tower were burning fiercely and dust and smoke was filling the street. He heard the thuds of bodies hitting the pavement, cars and smashing through windshields. He told me it was impossible not to look up.When he did he saw two people that held hands as they leaped from the window.

Riveted and unable to look away he told me that he saw a man stand up in a shattered frame and he gave a kind of half wave and then did an almost perfect swan dive.

His company paid for his therapy sessions and to this day he as never talked about it again.

There are somethings that you just dont need to see.

The bud dwyer suicide video really got to me for some reason. The fact that the camera man actually zooms in to capture the blood vacating his head is probably what makes it so disturbing.

erion 07-25-2003 07:47 AM

I saw the Bud Dwyer suicide happen live on Tv when I was a kid. he was under investigation for some kind of government fraud, was guilty as hell, and held that press conference so he could commit suicide on camera.

I still see images from it in my head at random times.

It was the first time I really understood that people could die. I think I was like 8-10 years old a the time.

[Edit]
It was 1986. I was 13.

Here's Some facts.

John_McEnroe 07-25-2003 02:29 PM

I was rollerblading across a street and was hit by a car. When the world stopped spinning and I hit the ground (50 feet from where I was hit) the wheels of my right rollerblade were touching my right knee, my lower leg was split in half and I could see the bones sticking out. I dont remember being grossed out at the time, just the woman who hit me running towards me asking if I was alright. My leg ios now full of metal and screws but I can walk fine.

Ive seen some messed up shit on the net over the last several years.

Dead bodies. Dead babies. Messy Injuries. etc etc etc

The only thing ive had to turn away from was this set of video's taht consumptionjunction.com had running for a while.

Basically the jist was:

This asian chick sitting at a bench eating food... camera zooms in and you see she is eating this plate of live worms.

then the next meal they bring out is milk full of maggots...

It gets worse from there and either ive blocked it out deliberately or just forgotten.

But nothing has made me want to puke as bad as that... and ive been on scene where some kid put his car into a light pole and had his head squashed into the roof.

Buk 07-25-2003 04:25 PM

Does anyone else remember that politician who shot himself at a live TV press conference and inspired the song "Hey Man Nice Shot"? that disturbed me for a long ass time...

I want to see this video now....post link please

Gorgo 07-25-2003 09:30 PM

Most Disturbing:

In real life, a car accident on the highway where 3 drunk guys were thrown from their compact car and all died. I was standing not 10 feet from one guy who looked like a posable action figure all cortorted on the ground, legs and arms all going in odd directions and head looking over his shoulder way too far . . .

On the internet, the throatslit video which is a Russian soldier being executed by a Chechen guerilla. Very chilling as it seemed so horriblely real. BTW, you all know Chechens are Muslims, right?

--------------------------------------------------------------
For those who are just dying to see some gore:
www.rotten.com
www.ogrish.com
www.consumptionjunction.com

After visiting these sites and viewing a few pics and vids, I don't go there anymore. It's too negative and depressing for me. The TB was much more uplifting.

erion 07-26-2003 09:46 AM

Hey Buk, that's the bud dwyer video you're talking about.

mrandrew2u 07-26-2003 01:54 PM

you warned me.....and I saw it anyway.....the throat slitting thing....I am pretty sure I wish I had not seen that......amazing how a person can do that to another with such impunity....amazing how I can't learn from someone elses experience...

A guy who has his arms ripped off by 2 jeeps

thedrake 07-27-2003 10:38 AM

I saw a car t-bone another car. The car in front of me was legally going through intersection and hit an old man who went through a red light. He died later on. It was horrible, I cried when I told my fiance about it, I hugged and kissed her and my 2 month old son. Life is wonderful.

It's not that bad, but it's really fucking bad to me. Seeing as we do the same sport, so it could happen to me at any time; it was a wake-up call to say the least:

EDIT: I saw a different throat slit video than you guys, but it's the same content. The guy on the groud, but he slit it from the front. In court, they had the tape, and he still pleaded not guilty. Moron.

A woman who had to be in her 80's in a little string bikini on Wakiki beach.

It still haunts me.

Plane crash on an air show less than 100 yards away from me

Pragma 08-01-2003 05:15 PM

Ok, two things to add to this:

Many many years ago when I was in Colorado visiting friends: I was doing the touristy thing, looking at an excavation on the side of the highway (about a quarter mile away, up on a hill). We were getting ready to leave, but wanted to stretch our legs a bit more, so we were walking around looking at the scenery.

Down below on the freeway, we saw a truck with a camper and a dog in the back. The dog jumped out (no idea why) and landed on the road. It immediately started running to the side of the road, and the driver panicked and tried to pull his car off the road. The driver behind the truck yanked the wheel the other way to miss the dog. That driver collided with two cars, the truck flipped upside down, many more cars piled into the back. It ended up involving 16 cars total. All the while, my friends and I are standing a little ways away, getting ringside seats to this.

It was very depressing to see the Flight for Life helicopters come in, medics rush over, and realize there was no way to save most of the people.

The second was on the way to work today. I was zipping down the freeway, as I was a little bit late, when I noticed two things. The first was that there hadn't been any traffic coming in the other direction in the past five minutes, the second was that there was a wall of flashing lights (covering the entire road, and then some) ahead to the other side of the freeway. I get closer and realize that it's a huge wreck.

Somehow a sedan had gotten run over by a gas tanker, turned sidways underneath the rear wheels. My exit was right next to the wreck, so I ended up waiting 20 minutes, staring at it, while trying to exit (traffic was horribly blocked). The sedan was burnt to a crisp, but you could still see blood on the back of the truck, and the gas tank was very badly damaged, but was being hosed down by several firetrucks.

On my way home, about 12 hours later, the tanker was still there, but pulled off to the side of the road and surrounded by concrete barriers. Apparently they were too scared to haul it very far, for fear it might get damaged more. Accidents are scary things.

440sixpack 08-01-2003 06:49 PM

I've seen the throat cut video, I must be a cold fuck because it didn't bother me much.

The one that sticks with me is some pictures I saw on I think rotten.com of a guy in some remote part of China who was chowing down on a cooked human fetus, butchered like fried chicken. If there was a way to get those images out of my head...

SoRetarded 08-01-2003 07:44 PM

Unfortunately on the internet and through college I have seen far too much of this stuff. It used to fascinate me in a who knows when something like this could happen / face your own mortality kinda way or something, but now it just makes me feel sick even thinking about it. I saw the knife in the throat (I think it was a Serbian or Croatian prisoner of war according to the video I saw), I saw the kitty stir fry, I've seen people get decimated by speeding trains to where they basically turned to a "mist" of person. I have seen helicopter blades chop people into bits as the chopper fell out of the sky, I saw a person in a car get slowly crushed to death before anyone could get to him. I saw a clip from a "snuff" video where a woman was shot in the head after yelling at the camera 'snuff films do not exist' (though that was claimed later to be a fake... I dunno). I have seen video footage from the early days of Le Mans where the drivers really had no chance in a car crash. I have seen videos of people drowning in their cars in floods...

I have to say that one of the most messed up and saddest things I ever saw was a driver burn to death in his flipped car while another driver desperately tried to force the car back over so the burning man could get out. 4 or 5 people who had come to watch the race just stood there and watched as this man tried to help save the life of a fellow driver. He was screaming at them, begging them to help after about 5 minutes he collapsed to the ground near the engulfed car and began to sob.

In the movie, American History X, Edward Norton's character (who is at the time part of a white supremacy group) tells a black man to bite the curb. He then proceeds to kick him in the back of the head. It was just creepy.

the420star 08-03-2003 08:10 PM

worst thing i have ever seen...
i was at a sailing regatta in my home town. the boats we were sailing had no engines, so all the boats picked up a tow from the power boats supporting the course. We threw our tow line to the last boat in the line, and then it all went down. The person driving the power boat didnt slow down and the person who caught our line, didnt get it tyed off fast enough. The line became rapped in such a way it tore the person's thumb off. as you can imagine there was a huge amount of blood, not to mention the severed finger was at the end of our tow line... i will never for get that for the rest of my life.

Corneo 08-03-2003 11:12 PM

I didn't see this but my mom did. One of her co workers got nailed right under the eye by some sort of tool. It knocked out his eyeball. It was danglin on his face and my mom rushed over there to help him.

Globber 08-04-2003 07:32 AM

The worst is an auto race from the 70's that I saw on video... a marshal ran across the track to get to another car and was hit at 200+ mph, cut him in two and splattered him across the track. The unlucky driver was actually hit by the fire extinguisher that the marshal was holding, and it basically decapitated him. The amount of blood was just staggering...

and SoRetarded, I remember the Williamson crash too, apparently the driver was the only one with fireproof clothing and he wouldn't get burnt if he leapt in. One sobering note is that 12 drivers died in Formula 1 alone in the 1970's

im kinda new around here and have actually read all 5 pages of this thread....and um, I have seen the tubgirl thing in the past, havent seen any kazaa downloads, have seen rotten.com but have never even heard of goatse.....

Can someone please explain what goatse is and exactly how grotesque it is?

thanks.

tenchi069 08-04-2003 02:28 PM

goatse isn't really grotesque compared to some of the crap the net has to offer. as best as anyone can tell it is some hermaphrodite bent over pulling his vagina apart with enough lighting to see inside. on a scale of 1-10 i rate it 4-5 on the sick scale, and 9 on the bizarre scale. I guess im jaded though.

CityOfAngels 08-04-2003 11:48 PM

Let's see...where should I start?

That pic of the guy who survived the attempted shotgun-to-the-face suicide on rotten.com is pretty damned horrible. All you can see is his forehead, and everything below is all split open; even his eyes were spread apart from each other.

I've seen various rotten.com pictures. Ew.

Faces of Death shows how they catch and slaughter dolphins. I saw that when I was in like 3rd grade, when my mom's nazi ex-husband was like, "Hey, check this out!". The video of those men slicing them open alive, and then ripping out their intestines with their hands has haunted me forever.

This one was actually shown on Maximum Exposure. This cook grabs a big medium-sized fish straight out of the aquarium and starts scaling it (shaving off it's scales with a knife) alive. The fish flaps around like crazy, even slips away onto the floor, but the asshole just picks it up and starts scaling away again. He then slices it open (the fish is still alive, mind you), and starts gutting it. With no intestines, the fish is STILL ALIVE, and the guy picks it up with tongs and sticks the back end of it in the fryer, leaving the front end (head) in the open so it still lives. After frying the back end, he throws it on a plate, dresses it, and serves it to a family. You see it on the plate, still moving its mouth, as the family (little kids included) are just taking chunks of it's fried flesh with their chopsticks and chowing down. This one I saw recently, and it still disturbs me.

I was up late once, watching the late night infomercials, when this tree-hugger group showed how different animals are treated in laboratories around the U.S. The one that still haunts me to this day is when these asshole scientists strap this black pot-belly pig to the floor, and then approach it with flame torches. They don't give it any anesthetic at all as they start turning up the flames, burning the poor pig alive. As it's flesh burns, they stop, tear off the burnt flesh, and start burning it some more. They do that repeatedly until the program switches to the "donate now" part. They said the scientific reason for it was "to study the different stages of intense burns on a pig." Fucking assholes!

A few days ago I went to a Hawaian market with my girlfriend, and in the seafood section, they sell hardshell turtles. The turtles are live; but my girlfriend tells me that according to law, they have to kill the turtle before selling it. Anyways, I saw this little kid pick up one turtle with the clampers, look it over like it's a piece of fruit, and unsatisfied, he throws it down hard on top of the other turtles and grabs a bigger one. My girlfriend pulled me away and said, "Don't look at that. We're here for the won-ton wrap." Too late, I looked at it. I hope that little kid rots in hell.

One nightmare I had consisted only of different people dieing in different ways. It was horrible. Some drowned, some exploded, and it even got creative as one guy, piloting a helicopter, flew over a volcano as it erupted. I woke up crying in the middle of the night. I went to my grandma's room (I was in Junior high), and before I told her of the nightmare, she told me she just had a nightmare where she had to escape her house for some reason, and the whole family left in a helicopter, flew over a volcano and it erupted. Trippy shit.

Oh yeah, tubgirl, goatsecx, bigbears, and bakkla all had me on the verge of throwing up.

So yeah, I've seen a lot, dreamt a lot; even more than what I posted here. I guess that's what you get when reality is fed to you at an early age.

Jesus Malverde 08-05-2003 12:03 AM

Yeah I've seen that Chechnya soldier video, and it was pretty weird. I wasn't that disturbed, because It was labeled "cutthroat." I'm sure if I wasn't expecting it, it would have been much more disturbing to watch. Tubgirl was funny.

Anyway, in real life: One time a bunch of my friends and I were walking to a bar and I was in the back of the group with another friend. We fall behind, and are talking with each other when we see a struggle in some car parked on the side of the road. Well, we slowed down to look and it turned out it was some girl getting raped by three guys. We got the FUCK out of there, and caught up to the group as fast as we could. We both got chills telling the story later, since the look on the woman's face will stay with us forever. We talked about it later and agreed it was a look of like "help me, even though I know you can't."

collide 08-14-2003 11:41 PM

One afternoon when I was about 12 years old, I went to visit a litter of feral kittens in your backyard, only all that were left were patches of fur and kitten tails scattered across our deck with flies crawling in and out of the mouth of one survivor being eaten alive by maggots. Apparently a raccoon found them the night before. I was not only heartbroken but scarred for life.

This image is also pretty disturbing:

Hmm... the most disturbing video I've ever seen is Faces of Death, and to be specific, the part with the dog dinner...

In real life I have seen a ferret cut in half by a train, I've seen my ex boyfriend stab himself in the arm (because he couldn't reach me so of course! stick a knife through your arm) um.. I've seen other gross stuff too but my mind seems to block things out.

JumpinJesus 08-15-2003 07:24 AM

The most disturbing thing I ever saw happened some years ago. I was a cop in the Air Force stationed in North Dakota in 1991. We were out at the missile fields when we got a call that someone had injured himself at one of the launch facilities. As we were driving there, we were told to back off because they were sending a medical helicopter to bring him back to base. Apparently he drilled a hole in his hand, but that's not the point of this story.

10 minutes later, we were called to search for the helicopter since the base lost radio contact. We drove around for about 10 minutes before we saw a small plume of smoke out in a field.

When we arrived, the helicopter (a Huey) was a crumpled mess no taller than me. I won't go into detail what we saw. There had been 4 people on it and no one survived. The most disturbing was the medical technician who apparently realized what was happening and tried to jump out of the helicopter as it was falling. There were four of us immediately on scene. One of them was so disturbed by what he saw that he woke up screaming 4 nights in a row after that until we finally had him relieved of duty. We were ordered to undergo counseling to deal with what we witnessed. I couldn't watch horror movies for a number of years after that.

DeviouslySimple 08-15-2003 09:29 AM

I saw a well dressed man aging well into his 40's lying on the floor, blood pooling out of his chest as it was fairly apparent someone shot him. It somehow seemed or reminded me of a mafia-style drive by in downtown Manhattan. He looked not particularly human as much as a fish who was gasping out of the water, trying to make it stop.

I left immediately after eyeing the scene, where there were tons of onlookers and no one was trying to prevent the bleeding or attempt CPR, etc. I think when I was 2-3 blocks away I saw an ambulance careening towards the scene.

It really angers me when people make tragedy a spectator sport, basically. It also makes me ask in a general...why exactly do you go out and watch snuff films, clips, whatever. What do you get out of it? Moreso to the people that make it hard for firemen and EMS workers to get to where they need to be....the hell is your problem?

BrinlyNoya 08-15-2003 10:23 PM

Most distrubingthing I've seen is whenI was probably.. 9 or10 and watching American Gladiators. Nitro was running after a guy and his knee actually bent the wrong way!!!! (Hyperextended? Is that the right word?) They played the footage over and over.. and did close ups.. and it was the most disturbing thing.. becuase.. there was no blood, no gore, just wrong.

Tandem 08-15-2003 10:52 PM

Too many sadly to mention.
It's worse when any life is lost.
