Yesterday i was smoking some weed with my friends to have a little fun. For the first time my gf decided to join up with us for the first time. My parents were gone at the time anyways so we smoked at my place. i bought some stash with my friend and let his gf join up with on the way back. First of all my gf doesn't smoke and i found out why today. She didn't feel a thing when she smoked half a joint. I shit you not. She just sat there sober with us being utter stoned, i was just laughing my ass off coz she it didnt do a thing to her, kinda embarassing eh..

I was just wondering do you know any person who are immune for this stuff.

Try giving her bong hits or shotgunning....and letting her take about five hits for everybody elses one.

Back when I used to smoke, I had two different girlfriends who told me the same thing. As it turns out, they just needed to learn how to get high.

Good advice. I concur with Greg. Noone is "immune."

But lets not get her so high we turn her off.

And quit smoking the dried out shwag that's somebody elses second hand! Find some good stuff, pay the little extra it takes and find a nice, clean bong. If you have good weed, someone with a good bong will find you.

Oh, and I stopped that a while ago. It's bad for you. Now, if I could just kick the cigarettes...

Just to emphasize what has been written above - DON'T get her to smoke huge amounts. Her first high may be too much - a very bad experience.

i agree that she probably just isn't doing it quite right, but another thing could be she is to anxious to get high. one of my friends had this happen to him a few times, then on the 3rd or 4th time he tried it with no expectations and he got really stoned. he couldn't believe the difference.

Sometimes it takes a few tries to get high. This is not because someone is immune, but becuase they just don't know how to do it.
Like the others said, it takes practice.

I suggest the follwing as a way to do it properly until she gets the hang of it.

Tell her to suck throught the joint bringing the smoke into her mouth and then while the smoke is still in her mouth tell her to inhale it into her lungs with a really big deep breath. Tell her to hold that breath as long as she can before letting it out.
If she did it correctly she will probably have a few uncontrolable coughs which will force her to exhale the smoke.

I have, errrrrr, heard that this is a quite common phemomenon that first time smokers often don't get high.

I have observed this myself several times and it almost always goes away. Just research, yeah that's it, research.

You might be suprised to learn that the brain has actuall THC receptors, so I don't think it's possible to be immune.
Try picking up the book "The Emperor wears no clothes" by Jack Herer. Its a good read and you'll learn A LOT!

I've been smoking for nine months (not much - maybe once or twice a week) and I feel like only now I am starting to get the most out of it. First few times didn't do much for me, then I started smoking more and got sick, then I quit for a while and now it's fucking great.

I got no reply. Everything has been said before. But I will add tonight I hung out with a guy I just met and his girlfriend I had just met. They were some of the coolest people ever. She had just gotten high the first time today. I smoked a little with them. He is a major pothead and I am a light pothead so she was in good hands. It was a real good high. Its was good because you were just at peice with everything. Of course I am also a pacfistic type person so..

Giving someone their first joint can be a very special occasion... As long as you can control their experience in some way, i.e. provide the weed (and guarentee the quality) and more importantly (especialy for the girls) provide a nice, safe place to smoke. Your surroundings can have as much an effect on the high as the quality of the smoke. Paranoia is a common side effect and can really turn a first time smoker off.

Chances are she probably didn't inhale properly (which will just take a little practice) and also she might not have felt particulaly comfortable trying to smoke with a bunch of guys giggling at her.

If you are introducing someone to weed... be nice to them! If they have a bad time with it the worst possible outcome is that it could taint your friendship.

I agree. Surroundings definitely influence how good the high is. Also, don't forget munchies and drinks. Just in case. It could be a lifesaver!

First time I smoked pot I thought nothing happened. I had done a few other hallucinogens before. I smoked at my house with a home made pipe and walked back to school for lunch. I ate a shitload of food and didn't even realize. Looking back now, I was blazed.

The first time I "noticed" getting high was smoking with my uncle. One hit is all it took and I watched Pulp Fiction for the first time that night too.

To stay on the topic: I've broke a few "pot virgins." Everytime I made them pay for the weed and the pizza.
The best time was with my nerdy friend and my other buddy (we were both pretty big potheads at the time). He paid for about 3/4 of the eigth of dank we bought and smoked it all in one night. He got sick and puked up soooo much food. After his first few tokes he laughed and laughed and we gave him weird looks that made him really paranoid for a while.

Don't give me that "deadly" crap either. The only thing I haven't done stoned is probably pilot a submarine.

I don't expect anyone to listen to me, but I'd reccommend against helping her into a habit that, while not as harmful as other drugs, still is expensive and illegal. It's probably better for her if she thinks that it does nothing to her and has no reason to try it.

For some people it turns into a habbit. Just dont let it affect your life and you'll be okay. I mebbe smoke pot one or twice a month but thats it. And like ive said before my gf isn't much into drugs anyways she just wanted to try it for a few times.

Btw pot is completly legal here and it ain't expensive if you buy it once a month, like 2.5 bucks..

Ok, first I must say weed can and most likely will wreck your life if you smoke everyday, but other than the problems with short term memory, it is comparably a fairly harmless drug, that is, compared to crack, smack and tobacco. If there's anything I hate, it's tobbaco. But anyways, all I'm trying to say, it is fairly easy to be a smart, functionning member of soiciety if you wish to smoke in private, with friends, or otherwise, that is, if you smoke in moderation. Cannabis is not physically addictive, but it has the potential for mental want, as alcohol does with a non-alcoholic. Of course, consuming something pretty much isn't food and/or water can't be all that good for ya. But if you're a responsible adult, and know your boundaries, you may as well do as you wish, you've got only one life to live.
