What were your high school colors/team name?
 

Mine (John L. Miller Great Neck North Senior High School, Class of '92) were Blue and Orange, like many things in New York and Long Island. Great Neck South was Orange and Blue, go figure.

And while we're at it, what was your mascot/team names? Great Neck North was the Blazers, our mascot was an Indian chief (I know, politically incorrect, but Great Neck South was the Rebels and often brought Confederate flags to football games).

Yep, I went from a knight in shining armor, to a graceful aquatic mammal, to a guy who makes shoes. I'll never understand who would name their team the Cobblers.

First highschool it was blue & white and we were the RAMS. Then I moved my senior year to another city and the colors were Orange & Black and they were the TIGERS.

Mine was orange and blue. At graduation the gowns ordered were orange for the girls and blue for the guys. So many people complained about orange gowns they re-ordered them as silver. Since the first order went through, everyone got an orange and blue tassle and then a blue and silver tassle.

Either way, there aint no way in hell I'm posting it! The picture wasn't that bad, but I did look a bit mousy. It was far better than my yearbook pictures from other years!

Officially the Colors are Brown & white. But someone in the late 70's decided gold would look good as a trim color, then someone else a little later changed the trim to orange. Then everything went orange - uniforms, t-shirts, everything. Our gym is "The Pumpkin Palace", the local newspaper lists our colors as orange & white, and everyone forgets the brown. I HATE THE ORANGE! HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT! whew, I feel better now. By the way, we are the Colts!

by the way, my wife teaches there, and I used to work in the schools through my CPS job. The basketball coaches and I are buddies, and I am involved in some other aspects, which explains my talking in the present tense, not the past.

Actually though, they are probably one of the most feared schools, as far as sports goes, in Omaha. I guess when you are "The Bunnies...you have to be able to kick some ass.

Navy Blue and Orange, and our mascot was a Buffalo. Or, well, I think technically we were called the Bison, whatever. :)

Bison ;) Our school couldn't decide which name was proper, so they used Buffalo in the school name (after the town), and Bison for the mascot :rolleyes:

Madison Mohawks...red & white, and black got added in there sometimes. I think the school board tried to shorten it to the Hawks, but it never really caught on.

I also noticed that our Alma Mater is the exact same tune as the "join hands and hearts and voices" song from Dirty Dancing. :hmm:

In the three years I went to my high school, we won NO games, and tied one game... the year after I graduated -they went on to be the state champs :D Was such a proud moment... They shudda let the girls play, probably would have done better :)
