WAY too many when i was a kid, just one since i became a legal adult (not even really a fight--someone in a car made a comment about the size of my nose compared to my genitalia as i was crossing the street one day, and i replied that the anal sex his mother had recieved the night before would force her to disagree. 2 seconds later, a full pepsi bottle bounced off the back of my head, so i charged the car, hit the passenger in the face through the open window, then the driver hit the gas)

I once got into a locker room fight with the dreaded school bully in grade 8. I tried to talk my way out of it, but he wasn't interested in talk. So to mine and everybody else's surprise, I cleaned his clock, and sent him home with a concussion. I left relatively unscathed, and became the school hero for the rest of the year. Even the teachers, who knew the kid's reputation for violence, and mine for avoiding violence, were on my side. It was a very self-gratifying period for me.
But a little older, and a little wiser, I generally avoid fighting like the plague. Even when I'm on the ice (hockey), and people start throwing themselves in my face, I just turn around and skate away (I play non-contact amateur leagues nowadays). I usually get rewarded with a slash to the back of my leg, which in turn gives me a chance at a power play goal. Yay me. I see fighting as nothing but a retarded act of self-agrandising that proves nothing. And why is it everybody who gets into a fight seems to think they're Bruce Lee. It's like they all picture themselves in their heads doing cool Kung Fu moves, but end up slapping each other like little girls. Excuse me if I sit back and laugh at your stupid ass.

Hmm...2 or 3 times. It's mostly around stupid events including sport events that went out of control...
Not that I was the one who started it

I've been in a few. Most could have been avoided but I wasn't interested in avoiding them in my younger days. Some turned out in my favor while a couple didn't. Overall in every one of them I achieved what I wanted though. Sometimes the goal was to relieve some stress from other areas of my life while others were to shut idiots up who were bothering others.
The last one I was in was at a hill climb in PA. The hill climb was over and me, my girlfriend, and another couple were walking back to my car. There were two bullies picking on everyone that walked by. I saw them harrass some guy walking by with his kid and it bugged me. Then they decided to pick on me calling me names and crap. That didn't bother me and I would have kept on going home but then they decided to comment about my girlfriend. I don't really remember what they said but I went over and got in the loudest one's face. Told him he was an ass and his buddy sucker punched me from the side. It knocked me down and he got on top of me. As we tumbled on the ground I got in quite a few good shots which left him bleeding. I finally kicked him off me and was ready to really start in on him when the cops showed up. We each went our separate ways (me with a hell of a shiner and him with blood coming from his mouth and nose). In the end though, my goal was achieved. It shut them both up and forced them to stop harrassing the people leaving the event. Ahh well, youth will do that to you. Live and learn.
