Who would you turn to in a life-threatening Crisis?

Just got my NRA Freedom mag, and it had an interesting question on the front cover, so here it is.

Of course the question is vauge and the answers only slightly less vauge. I went with NRA member only because he is the only person whos political and social thoughts I can guess at all (what does a Tommy Hilfiger shirt tell me? ) plus if the life threatening crisis is something like someone chasing me atleast the NRA guy MIGHT have a gun.

Depends on the crisis.

1) Threatened by a violent criminal: NRA member

2) medical crisis: Hilfiger?

3) Having to win a basketball game, or die: NBA jersey

well i posted the question how it appeared, but point being, (i think) most ppl wont publicly voice their view, and nra member wearing a hat, well, you kno exactly where he stands, and what kind of person (even if it is a stereotype that may or may not be true)

like someone else said, what does a fuckin hilfiger shirt say? nothing, what does an nra hat say? a whole helluva lot more then a hillfiger shirt thats for damn sure

My first choice wasn't up there. Jose Cuervo.

Aside from that, NRA all the way. I don't hang out with a single person that wears Tommy anything. It's Wrangler and Carhartt, we're all construction workers and auto mechanics. I've learned that these kind of guys are the best ones to have around in most of the hairy situations that I've been in, plus they've been the most reliable and loyal to boot.

I would most certainly turn to a responsible gun owner in a life threatening situation, perhaps a paid up member of the NRA - but I don't know if I would therefore trust someone who wore NRA brand clothing; the hat, the pyjamas, and quite possibly the depleted uranium paper weight.

It depends a lot on what you are calling a life threatening crisis. If it were one needing first aid I would probably blindly pick the one with the NRA simply because he /she perhaps because of outdoor interests might be more knowledgeable in first aid. I would really hate to be in a position where I was forced to make such a decision based solely upon who a person is willing to pay to advertise in some manner on their body. Check out what the next ten people you meet in the mall are wearing that bears insignia and then tell me you'd feel good about it.

So your saying because I wear a NRA hat I am likely to threaten your life? How so? I own guns and take the responsibility attached to that choice very seriously, I am also a parent and take the responsibility to protect my family very seriously. I live in an area w/o 24 hour police patrols and therefore the responsibility to protect my family falls to me. I have had cause to arm myself against somebody who was trying to break into my home, so unless you are a criminal, or a game animal during the appropriate hunting season, the average NRA member is no threat to you.

That is what I am saying. Thus far two people have made the assumption that the NRA member is going to be some sort of gun waving kook. And thus far neither of them have given a response to how exactly they came to this conclusion. Its people like this that make me want to become a member of the NRA

Might? I think you got a pretty good chance an NRA member carries a gun. For the same reason, I choose NRA as well.

EASILY the one in an NRA hat... contrary to popular belief, most people in the NRA are not a bunch of hicks who shoot beer cans off their rusty Ford pickup, they're highly intelligent people who you'd want on your side in a tough situation. I take my Grandfather and his friends in the NRA as an example.

NRA member. Hate gun laws. Like my guns. Know many NRA members who are decent, helpful, and determined people. In a pinch I'd call on them. I have one friend who's all out NRA everything and they helped me in a pinch once. I'd do it again.

I don't think I would be that picky.
Whoever was around to help at the time would be fine.
I don't care what they're wearing or why.
If I was about to die and yelled help, whoever came up to help me, well then that would be the person . Wouldn't it? What do you say "oh sorry, your wearing clothes I don't like so, I think I'll just die. thanks" hahahaha nope doesn't sound right to me...

good point atropos, but i interpreted the question like this, life threatening situation, you see three ppl in the position to help, and you have to choose one, which one will probably be the most help? not necesarily carrying a gun, but just in general, who prolly has his/her shit together?
