Brantford, Ontario, Canada

The telephone was invented here, by Alexander Graham Bell.

Wayne Gretzsy(sp?) was born here, and played minor hockey here.

Our horrible downtown. Which consists of boarded up store fronts with hand painted store fronts on the plywood. Not joking.

A booming economic growth of major corporations settling here. ie - Future Shop (employed there), The Keg, etc

edit - Right, and drugs. Weed being number 1, motherfuckin CRACK number 2. Brantford has a population of 86,000.

EruptiveDreamz 12-31-2003 10:00 PM

My state is know for cornfields..corn and farmers

Jack Ruby 01-01-2004 05:25 AM

I live near Ieper, Belgium. It's known as one of the major battlefields of World War One - over half a million British and German soldiers died in these fields between 1914 and 1918. Also, Adolf Hitler was stationed here during the war, about six miles from my house.

For Belgium as a whole, I guess what we're most famous for is our beer (a few hundred different brands on a population of 10 million).
